Belinda lounged on a recliner, munching on a durian, “I’ve handed all our savings to Jolin. You need to discuss this matter with her.” 

She wanted to reclaim the savings from Jolin, but Jolin might get angry and deny Belinda the luxuries like living in their villa and having a maid at her disposal. 

Perla was reluctant to beg Jolin for help. She once had the upper hand in the family thanks to Belinda, but now the tables had turned. But now, the tables have turned. Jolin, basking in the glory of her daughter’s marriage into wealth, seemed to aspire to trample over her. It was almost suffocating her. 

But for the sake of Ritchie and Belinda’s money, Perla had to swallow her pride. 

“Jolin, you are rich now. You wouldn’t mind lending us some of our parents‘ pension, would you?” 

Jolin replied nonchalantly, “Instead of scheming for your parents‘ pension, why don’t you encourage Ritchie to apply for a job? He could deliver pizza or be a security guard. That should help with the household expenses. Besides, Emma is footing the bills for raising your grandchildren, so you shouldn’t need much for home expenses. Just don’t foolishly squander your money on those internet celebrities anymore.” 

Ritchie’s face turned red with rage, “What’s wrong with giving a tip to the girl I like? I’m the eldest son, and it is only right that I get the pension.” 

Aurelia, standing nearby, calmly intervened, “Ritchie, don’t forget you’re still on bail. Possession of illegal substances is a serious crime. If you don’t behave, I won’t help you get a lawyer.” 

Aurelia’s words effectively silenced Ritchie. 

“If you’re so capable, why don’t you help me get a job? How else am I supposed to behave?” 

Seeing Ritchie’s lazy demeanor, Aurelia reluctantly agreed to help him, “I’ll ask around for a security guard position. It’s not hard, you just sit around collecting tolls.” 

Ritchie thought it was a piece of cake, and he could sit around playing video games all day, so he agreed. 

Perla was still miffed. She was going crazy thinking about losing such a large subsidy. 

“How much could a security guard possibly earn?” 

“If he does a good job, I could transfer him to a high–end community. He’ll naturally earn. more then,” Aurelia replied. 

Ritchie’s eyes lit up. He’d love to work in an upscale club where he could potentially meet
