Chapter 378
I heard that she and Arnold are still coupled up,” Melissa said. “Arnold was sick and in the hospital, and she’s been visiting him every day. It’s putting a strain on Arnold’s
relationship with Lisa.”
“She tock William to see Arnold; I didn’t voice any objections. After all, William is Arnold’s son. He should visit his father.”
Leopold stood up, “Melissa, Aurelia is my wife, and I hope you respect her.” With that, he walked upstairs.
Melissa smirked. If Megan were still alive, would there even be a chance for this nobody to marry Leopold?
The Stirling family’s matriarch should be a well–groomed, sophisticated woman of high society, not this lowly creature. She’s tarnishing the Stirling family’s reputation.
In the garden, Beverley was again reading Aurelia’s tarot cards.
This time, Aurelia drew The Chariot.
Beverley gasped, “The Chariot implies warfare, suggesting that your marriage will soon be in turmoil. It seems you have quite a few rivals.”
Aurelia sighed, “Do you know why I don’t want to be the matriarch of the Stirling family? It’s because there are so many women who want to bring me down. Not just people, but ghosts too.”
Her last comment immediately grabbed Beverley’s attention, as she was not only fond of tarot, but also intrigued by the supernatural.
“What do you mean, ghosts? Have you seen a ghost? Tell me about it.”
Aurelia lowered her voice, “Promise to keep it a secret.”
Beverley nodded fervently, zipping her lips shut. “I promise.”
Aurelia whispered, “I saw Megan yesterday on New Year’s Eve.”
“What?” Beverley was shocked, her eyes and mouth wide open.
“Are you sure it was her?”
Aurelia took out her phone and showed Beverley the painting she had drawn, “Does this look like her?”
Beverley nodded vigorously, “It’s her, definitely her. I heard she was wearing a red dress when she died.”
While she was talking, a chilling wind blew through the garden, carrying a spooky air that

sent shivers down their spines.
Aurelia rubbed her arms. Ohosts in red dresses were a common trope in horror movies.
“It’s strange that she would appear now, almost six years after her death.”
“Does Leopold know about this?” Beverley asked.
Aurelia nodded, “I told him, but he doesn’t believe it. He thinks someone is impersonating Megan. But who could look exactly like her? She didn’t have a twin sister, only Evelyn.”
