Jessica walked in from the door. 

“Don’t worry about Kane. I’ll protect him.” She presented a prenuptial agreement. 

It specified that Megan could only officially become one of the Stirling family after Kane came of age. Any children she had before then would be considered illegitimate, with no rights to inheritance. 

Aurelia bowed deeply. “Thank you for protecting Kane. I entrust him to your care.” 

She picked up the pen, took a deep breath, and signed her name on the divorce 

agreement. 

She looked at Leopold, her resentment froze into an unmelting ice. Not even the divine flames could melt it. 

“From now on, we have nothing to do with each other. Apart from life and death, there will never be a third possibility between us.” 

She said it with such finality and then walked out without a backward glance. 

Leopold’s shoulders shook, and his heart pounded violently. Each of her words stabbed into his heart, causing him pain and an overwhelming sense of fear. 

He feared their relationship would become irreparable after she left. 

This time, she truly hated his guts.
