Chapter 530
If she really died, he'd mourn for a while, then move on, perhaps find another young, pretty, gentle, and caring wife to continue his life.
Life went on, with or without certain people.
Wedding vows was a good expectation.
Her only wish was for him to take good care of their kids, to keep them safe from any evil stepmother.
"It's late, and I should go now."
She left his embrace, stepping out of the car and into the night.
Lingering in his arms too long might not be wise for her.
The next day, bright and early, Skyler phoned her.
“Angel, it's me, Skyler. My daddy's not home today, could you come over and play?"
“Sure."
Aurelia took the day off and went over to his place.
Skyler was watering his plants when she arrived, his face lighting up at her appearance, eyes twinkling like stars.
“Angel, you must live on a cloud, with the sun, and that's why you always shine when I see you."
Aurelia chuckled, "I'm no angel, Skyler. I live in a house on earth just like you."
He shook his head firmly, "No, you must be an angel, and you just moved from the clouds to live on earth."
Aurelia moved towards the window sill, admiring the flourishing plants.
“Why does Geoffrey keep bugs? He should keep plants like you. Plants are pretty and they don't bite."
"Yes." Skyler nodded enthusiastically.
Aurelia laughed, leaning in to smell the flowers, then asked in a casual tone, "Skyler, what does Geoffrey look like? Is he as handsome as you?"
“Geoffrey should look like me.” Skyler blinked at her, “Angel, am I handsome?"
Aurelia nodded with a smile, "Very handsome, Skyler. You're as handsome as the heavenly archangel."
Skyler was over the moon, his joy filling the room as he danced around, hopping and skipping. "Thank you."
Aurelia watched him, thinking, "He's so innocent and harmless. He couldn't possibly be the head of AK Group.
Maybe Leopold was right, the real leader was Tanya. But then, who was Geoffrey he mentioned?"
