Leopold grunted dismissively, "She doesn't need your help. Megan is a real thorn in the side, and a few hard knocks might bring her around. If she has the gall to cross the line again, she'll get served her just desserts."
Tanya choked on her words, noting that Leopold had completely disregarded Megan by now. It was threatening Megan’s life, so she wouldn't dare withhold the antibiotics.
"You can teach her a lesson, that's your call, but the kid is innocent. After all, he shares your blood."
Leopold replied, "That kid? I'll send him abroad as soon as he's born. I'll have him return to claim his heritage after he turns eighteen so that nobody can use him as a pawn in their games. Anyway, he's only fifth in line for the legacy, with four brothers ahead of him. Some things will never be his."
A muscle in Tanya's face twitched slightly, "Is Megan really that much of a thorn in your side?"
Leopold shrugged, "She overestimates herself. Women who try to manipulate me end up in a bad way."
His voice was like the clash of icicles, chilling to the bone.
Tanya's lips tightened. She had warned Megan not to be jealous or petty, to bide her time for the bigger picture, but she was too stubborn to listen.
"Which woman doesn't get a pang of jealousy once in a while? If she loves you and cares about you, clashes with other women are inevitable. Unless she stops loving you and stops caring, then she won't bother anymore. Jessica could endure a lot because there was no love left in her heart for Chad. She was solely focused on grooming you as the successor."
Leopold snorted, "Chad is no match for me. The women by my side are all in love with me, obedient and devoted. Only Megan, that harpy, not only is she not good-looking, but she's got a nasty temper too. Women who can't get along with my darlings, I just kick them to the curb."
Tanya was speechless.
