She sighed, “Just yesterday, she stabbed me in the back, manipulating her minions to smear my name. Yet, Mr. Leopold didn’t even reprimand her. Instead, he seems to think I’m the unreasonable one.” 

Between her words, Elowen’s fork stabbed into her steak as if it were Evelyn’s flesh. 

“That little witch, I’ll get her.” 

Aurelia took a sip of her juice, stoking the fire further, “Evelyn is like a goddess in Mr. Leopold’s heart, always in his thoughts. Even though his ex is gone, he can’t help but see Evelyn in her place. I’m just a small fry, easily squashed. But you, you’re his real deal. It’s only right for you to keep her in check. You need to step up 

your game.” 

The big boss didn’t care about the process, only the results. 

If he was ruthless, then she had no reason to show mercy! 

She didn’t have the resources to please the higher–ups, so she could only rely on Elowen to create some chaos. 

Elowen’s face was distorted with anger as she wildly stabbed at her steak.. 

She thought, “Damn Evelyn, go to hell!” 

“If Evelyn becomes the director, you’ll be the first one she’ll kick out. If you don’t want to be kicked to the curb, do as I say. Keep a close watch on her every move, and report to me as soon as you see her try to seduce Leopold.” 

“Deal,” Aurelia smirked, adding her on WhatsApp. 

Just then, Evelyn and Leopold walked in. 

Leopold was wearing a black suit, matching Evelyn’s black dress perfectly. It was like they were wearing coordinating outfits. 

Elowen jumped up from her chair and rushed over, grabbing his arm to lay claim to her territory, “Leopold, Aurelia and I are eating. Why don’t you join us?” 

As soon as Leopold walked in, he found Aurelia. No matter where she was, he could always spot her first. 

He frowned, a hint of melancholy crossing his eyes. 

He unclasped Elowen’s hand and took a seat, with Elowen quickly claiming the seat next to him, afraid of losing her spot to Evelyn. 

Evelyn was frustrated, wishing she had chosen a different restaurant. 

Aurelia hadn’t finished eating, but in this situation, it was best to make a swift exit. 

Just as she was about to pay, Elowen called out, “Aurelia, come join us.” 

Damn! 

Taking a deep breath, she had no choice but to walk over and take a seat opposite Leopold. 

“Mr. Leopold, what a coincidence that you and Ms. Evelyn are dining here too.” 

This was probably the most awkward and bizarre situation she had ever been in, even TV dramas wouldn’t dare to script this! 

But as long as she wasn’t embarrassed, the ones feeling awkward would definitely be the ones sitting across from her.

Implying that Aurelia was an unwanted, clueless third wheel. 

What right did she have to sit here? 

Aurelia smiled faintly, “If you are not uncomfortable, why would I be?” 

If the mistress could be so brazen, why should she be afraid? 

Evelyn could obviously understand the meaning behind her words, making her seethe with anger. 

Elowen quickly took over the conversation, “Aurelia is Arnold’s girlfriend, soon to be my and Leopold’s sister–in–law. We’re family, why would we feel uncomfortable? Besides, what’s your place in all this?” 

She had no intention of being polite to Evelyn. 

Evelyn was seething, but she kept her emotions hidden, lowering her head to play the innocent victim. 

Leopold’s grip on his knife and fork tightened, the melancholy in his eyes growing deeper. 

Arnold was like a thorn in his side! 

Aurelia continued to eat, purposely not explaining. She had been holding her breath since yesterday, almost – suffocating. No need to explain a damn thing!
