Chapter 86
Evelyn gave her a dour once–over.
So, that was why she had the nerve to confront her. Because she had Arnold, her backer, right?
“Arnold is quite the ladies‘ man. Everyone in the circle knows. He changes girlfriends more often than he changes his shirts. Manager Aurelia, if you’re planning on becoming his wife, it won’t be that easy.”
Aurelia took a bite of foie gras, and then she turned to Elowen, asking pointedly, “Ms. Elowen, do you think Arnold could cheat on someone?”
“I haven’t heard anything about that.” Elowen shook her head.
“Would he keep lingering feelings for an ex?”
“No, Arnold always cuts clean every time.”
“Does he have any old flame he can’t forget?”
“Of course not. He hates the idea of an old flame.” Elowen gritted her teeth at this.
Aurelia shrugged, “Then, I have nothing to worry about. We are all adults, as long as we are honest and sincere when we are dating, even if we break up, there’s nothing to regret.”
As she spoke, an icy glint flashed in Leopold’s eyes. His anger swelled like a hot air balloon, almost bursting
at the seams.
“Once you’ve finished eating, you can leave!”
Aurelia glanced at her plate. She still had a big piece of steak left.
“Mr. Leopold, I haven’t finished eating yet. If I don’t eat enough, I’ll get hungry in the afternoon, and if I’m hungry I won’t be able to focus on work. Plus, the food here is expensive, we shouldn’t waste it.”
She said this very seriously.
Leopold was speechless with rage, almost wanting to drag her out and shut her up so she couldn’t utter a single syllable.
Evelyn was stunned. Was this woman truly naive, or pretending to be? Couldn’t she tell that Leo was annoyed and wanted her to leave?
“Manager Aurelia, Leo prefers to dine in peace. If you haven’t finished, you can take the rest back to the office.”
Beat it!
Aurelia muttered in her heart, but her face still wore a smile. “The steak isn’t as good when it’s cold. Let’s all keep quiet and let Ms. Elowen accompany Mr. Leopold in peace. After all, they are childhood sweethearts. and practically a couple.”
Evelyn nearly choked. She realized that this woman was most likely bribed by Elowen, deliberately staying here to cause trouble.
Elowen laughed. Aurelia’s words were like a breath of spring air to her, extremely comforting.
“Leopold, let me cut your steak for you.”
Leopold had lost all his appetite, only wishing to give the woman across from him a lesson.
He grabbed the wine glass next to him, downed it in one gulp, and then stood up. “I’m full. You guys
continue.”

“But you haven’t eaten anything yet.” Elowen hurriedly said.
“Kevin will settle the bill later.” Leopold coldly replied, turned around, and walked out, leaving a trail of icy air.
As soon as he left, Elowen and Evelyn also couldn’t sit still and quickly followed.
Aurelia pursed her lips, unhurriedly continuing her meal.
She still had to wait for Kevin to pay the bill.
Otherwise, she would go bankrupt.
Soon, Kevin arrived. Seeing her eat so leisurely, he broke into a sweat.
