Chapter 110 If You Utter Another Word
In agony, Priscilla was half-lying on the back seat, her face as pale as a sheet of paper. The pain was so intense that she couldn’t even muster a cry..
“Ly… Lysander…”
Lysander glanced at the rearview mirror, noticing specks of bright red appearing on her pristine wedding gown.
Priscilla could feel it, too. She struggled with all her might and said, “Lysander, I’m bleeding…”
“We’re almost at the hospital, Priscilla. Just hang in there a little longer
“Lysander, my child, my child… Is it possible we can’t save the baby?”
Lysander remained silent, her lips pressed tightly together, her expression solemn.
Priscilla was on the verge of breaking down. “My dad said you’re the best obstetrician in Harborbrook. Lysander, I beg you, you must save my child…”
“I…” Lysander was at a loss for words.
With Priscilla’s pregnancy this far long, any changes in her condition, especially any sign of bleeding, could indicate something minor or something quite significant.
“Don’t worry just yet. Once we reach the hospital, everything will be taken care of. Doctors, nurses, operating rooms, medications-they’ll all be available.”
Her voice was cool yet steady, soothing Priscilla temporarily. However, her expression remained one of deep distress.
Ring!
The cell phone rang.
Lysander was fully focused on driving, unable to spare a hand.
Lysanne gripped the handrail tightly, muttering under her breath, “Lysander, you better not pick up that call! Focus on driving! Have you ever driven a Porsche before? Do you even know how to drive it?”
Lysander was already highly agitated. Upon hearing those words, she snapped, “If you utter one more word, I’ll have you thrown out!”
The cell phone continued to ring relentlessly.
Lysander steered the wheel with one hand while her other hand delved into her pocket to retrieve her phone. It was a call from the director.
“Hello, Dr. Ziegler.”

Lysander licked her lips. “It’s still unclear. I’m on my way back to the hospital now.”
“Lysander, I beg you, she is my only daughter. Her mom passed away early, leaving her as my sole comfort. Please help…”
Lysander composed herself and said, “Dr. Ziegler, considering Priscilla’s condition, I believe surgery might be necessary.”
“Okay, okay, no problem,” he said. “I’ll contact them right now…”
“Also, are you currently at the wedding venue?”
“Yes.”
“Bring the groom to the hospital as soon as possible. If surgery is required, we’ll need the child’s father to sign the papers.”
“All right. All right.”
Upon reaching the hospital entrance, Lynn and her group had already received a call from the hospital director and were waiting at the door.
Lynn recognized Josiah’s car. Seeing Lysander step out from the driver’s seat, she was momentarily taken aback.
However, there was no time to be surprised. They quickly stepped in to help. “Dr. Thorne, what’s going
on?”
Lysander helped Priscilla out of the car, gently placing her on the stretcher bed.
“Ah, blood!” Lynn exclaimed, pointing at her arm. “Oh my! Is she bleeding?”
With a stern expression, Lysander directed the scene, “Lynn, first have the nurse take Priscilla to the operating room. You’ve been with me for a while now, so you should know what drugs and equipment to prepare in this situation. I’ll change my clothes and be there shortly.”

Update pls~...
Why no update ???...
Chapters 692 693 ans 694 are impossible to read. Not sure if there was an issue with translation.but the words do not make sense..impossible to follow story line...
I cant get over the fact that the writer is trying to show as if the male lead has committed a grave sin. First he didnt know she was pregnant because she never told him. Second right from the start she never communicated anything. She was unbothered even during her marriage. I am not saying the male lead is great but atleast he seems like a human with emotions unlike her. And there is no context for why she is so emotionless....
The female lead is not charming but an unbothered b word, there is a very big difference. There is no point of extending this story at all because even if you write 1000+ chapters at 1001 the male lead would still be doing everything for her and she wouldnt bat an eye even if someone killed him. I mean honestly either the start should have been written better where we do understand that she was deeply affected because of her divorce or just STOPPPPP. Even for fiction it is annoying....
