Chapter 405 Will You Change My Dressing
Josiah embraced her from behind. “Lysander, will you change my dressing?”
“How about I transfer another one hundred and fifty to you? I understand you don’t want to owe me anything. I can transfer it to you right now.”
Lysander pulled away the hands resting on her waist. “There’s a fully–equipped burn department in the hospital and specialized surgical nurses. Don’t come looking for me.”
“I just want you.”
Lysander’s hand was already resting on the door handle.

She fell silent for a moment, striving to keep her voice as calm as possible. “Josiah, let’s drop it.”
“Are you tired? It’s all right. I can head to the burn department…”
“I’m talking about you and I.”
Josiah’s voice held a hint of hesitation. “What do you mean?”
“It’s exactly what you’re thinking. We were once close as husband and wife, but now that we’re divorced, we’re nothing more than strangers. You don’t need to concern yourself with my affairs anymore, nor do you need to explain so much to me. Honestly, I don’t want to hear it. If possible, I’d rather we never see each other again.”
Josiah remained silent.
Yet, it was clear that his temper was flaring as his breathing grew heavier. “Lysander, what do I need to do to make you feel my remorse and love?”
“You don’t have to do anything. I don’t need any form of remorse, let alone love. That’s all. Send my regards to Madam Susan for me.”
When she returned to the ward, only Daphne was there.
Daphne whistled. “The pretentious b*tch has left.”
“Did you chase her away with your harsh words?”
Daphne spread her hands. “Do I look like that kind of person to
o you?”
“I don’t mean it that way.”
“Haha, I was just teasing you. In my opinion, the whole visiting mom thing is just a pretense. She merely wanted to lure Josiah here, so that you could see him getting medicine for her.”
“I think so too.”
“But it’s pointless, you know. Josiah already knows her true colors. Even if she tries to provoke you, the moment you get upset, Josial will only come to pacify you. He won’t pay her any mind. It’s really just a waste of effort.”

Chapter 405 Will You Change My Dressing
“Huh?”
“I’ve had nothing to do with Josiah for a while now.”
Her news of returning to the country couldn’t be kept a secret for long.
Once Molly’s situation had more or less stabilized, Lysander returned home for a visit.
Both Maverick and Laura were taken aback. But when they heard that she would no longer be going to Stounia, their faces, although tinged with a hint of regret, were predominantly filled with joy.
Laura busied herself in the kitchen, preparing her favorite dishes. All the while, she hummed along to her favorite songs.
Maverick was filled with deep emotion. “It’s fine if you don’t go. Lysa, honestly, at our age, we don’t really expect you to achieve great things. As long as you and Mich are both healthy and safe and we can all spend time together as a family, those are the happiest days for us.”
Lysander poured a cup of coffee for Maverick. “Mm, I’ll be staying in the country from now on and spending more time with you both.”
Maverick was still somewhat uneasy. “Were you… mistreated in Stounia?”
“No.
“Tell me the truth. Are those foreigners looking down on Aplothians?”
Lysander casually made up an excuse. “I never felt it back home, but not long after I went abroad, it was Thanksgiving. Suddenly, I felt quite lonely, so I came back.”
After some thought, Lysander said, “I suppose I could return, but after working for so many years, I’m quite exhausted. I’d like to take a break before going back.”
“All right, all right, you should rest well, then. Speaking of which, our house is about to be demolished soon. They’ve already given us notice a few days ago, saying they’ll be discussing compensation agreements with each household. Your mom and I are getting on in years and there are lots of things we don’t understand. It’s good that you’re home.”
Lysander gave a nod.
The woman took charge of the conversation, with three men who seemed to serve as bodyguards, but were more like an intimidating presence. They remained silent, standing behind her. Their arms were heavily tattooed, a clear warning that they were not people to be trifled with.
“Ms. Thome, we’ve already assessed the size of your previous house. According to our current compensation policy, we can offer you a compensation of thirty square nfeters. For the remaining area, you would need to purchase it at the original price.”
Maverick was furious. “This isn’t what you all promised! Didn’t we agree on a one–to–one replacement? Our old house was over fifty square meters!”
Ines smiled. “Sir, can’t you tell the difference between the old house and the new one? One is on the city outskirts, the other right in the city center, adjacent to the hospital. The price difference is astronomical! We’re a business, not a government–led demolition. We can’t afford to make a loss, can we?”

Update pls~...
Why no update ???...
Chapters 692 693 ans 694 are impossible to read. Not sure if there was an issue with translation.but the words do not make sense..impossible to follow story line...
I cant get over the fact that the writer is trying to show as if the male lead has committed a grave sin. First he didnt know she was pregnant because she never told him. Second right from the start she never communicated anything. She was unbothered even during her marriage. I am not saying the male lead is great but atleast he seems like a human with emotions unlike her. And there is no context for why she is so emotionless....
The female lead is not charming but an unbothered b word, there is a very big difference. There is no point of extending this story at all because even if you write 1000+ chapters at 1001 the male lead would still be doing everything for her and she wouldnt bat an eye even if someone killed him. I mean honestly either the start should have been written better where we do understand that she was deeply affected because of her divorce or just STOPPPPP. Even for fiction it is annoying....
