Chapter 419 Do You Know What I Want
“I’m speaking to you as a doctor,” she replied.
With a chuckle, Josiah mocked, “This is the first time I’ve seen a doctor coming all the way to a billiard lounge to check on a patient.
Observing that he wasn’t in the mood to have a proper discussion with her, she decided not to beat around the bush anymore and stated bluntly, “I’m not here to check on anyone. I have some matters to discuss with you in private. It’s already past midnight. Are you done with what you’re doing?”
Josiah raised an eyebrow. “In private?”
“Yes.”
Josiah’s friends, who had remained there, noticed the odd atmosphere and came up with various excuses to leave.
“Josiah, something urgent just came up. I need to leave now.”
“Me too…
“My girlfriend has called me several times, urging me to head back.”
Zane, worried that some of their friends might struggle to find an excuse, quickly clapped his hands to draw attention. “It’s about time to eat. Why don’t we all go and have barbecue together? It’s my treat today!”
“All right, let’s go!”
He brought everyone away with him, leaving only Lysander, Josiah, and the girl in the billiard lounge.
The girl, pampered and fussed over all day, was upset when the atmosphere suddenly changed. Hanging her head, she stood aside without a word, showing no intention of making herself scarce.
Lysander paid no mind to the girl who looked even younger than Michelle and only asked Josiah, “Shall we talk somewhere else? How about the booth over there?”
Josiah remained silent, his gaze fixed on the pool cuc.
Lysander didn’t say another word, staring at Josiah and awaiting his response. She was determined to stay until she achieved her goal.
After a moment of silence, Josiah turned to the girl. “It’s getting late. I’ll have Aiden take you home.”
The girl bit her lip. “Will you teach me how to play pool again in the future?”
“We’ll see. If I’m not available, you can go to Aiden. He’s quite good at it, too,” said Josiah.
The girl pointed at Lysander. “Is she your girlfriend?”
Josiah glanced at Lysander before denying. “No, she’s not.”
“Then, who is she?” the girl asked again, refusing to let the matter rest.

Chapter 419 Do You Know What I Want
Josiah frowned, his patience wearing thin. He promptly made a phone call. “Aiden, where are you? Come back now and send her home.”
After hanging up the phone, he beckoned a waiter over and instructed, “Could you kindly escort this lady to the parking lot? Someone will be there to meet her.”
The waiter nodded in agreement. “Alright.”
The girl’s eyes reddened, “Wait! Will I see you again?”
Annoyed, Josiah rubbed his temples. “Go on home.”
“I hate you!” Tears fell from the girl’s eyes as she turned around and ran out.
The waiter hurriedly chased after her, and the two quickly vanished from sight.
Witnessing all that, Lysander slowly retracted her gaze.
A hint of exhaustion was evident on Josiah’s face. “Let’s sit down and talk.”
Lysander followed him, returning to the booth and taking a seat across from him.
Closing his eyes to rest, he said, “You have something to say, don’t you?”
Lysander nodded. “Thank you for helping with Old Mrs. Everhart’s matter.”
Josiah seemed somewhat puzzled. “Old Mrs. Everhart? Daphne Everhart’s grandmother?”
“Yes. You… didn’t know?” Lysander was surprised.
Josiah sneered. “The Guerra family has little to do with the Everhart family. I don’t have any personal relationship with Daphne’s father either. Why would I know?”
“So that private jet wasn’t yours-
“What private jet?”
Lysander studied him for a moment. He doesn’t seem like he’s lying. I think he genuinely has no idea. So that private jet was really sent by Mr. Thorne’s friend and has nothing to do with Josiah?
Josiah furrowed his brows impatiently. “What exactly are you trying to say?”
“Nothing. I think I misunderstood. Actually, the reason I came to see you today is to talk about Zachary,” she revealed.
Lysander spoke straightforwardly. “Yes. He was fired, and I know it probably wasn’t your doing. You wouldn’t bother doing something like that. One of the executives or managers working under you must’ve made the decision. Zachary wants to return and continue leading that project.”
“My sister went working part–time at Skywatch. Youve seen hier. It was Zachary who lured her there. Last night, right outside Skywatch, she almost got into trouble. Zachary threatened me, saying that if I didn’t help him, he’d continue pestering my sister. She trusts him a lot, and I can’t take that risk.”
Lysander hurried after him. “Josiah, please, I’m begging you-
“What do you have to offer in exchange for my assistance?” he pressed on.

Update pls~...
Why no update ???...
Chapters 692 693 ans 694 are impossible to read. Not sure if there was an issue with translation.but the words do not make sense..impossible to follow story line...
I cant get over the fact that the writer is trying to show as if the male lead has committed a grave sin. First he didnt know she was pregnant because she never told him. Second right from the start she never communicated anything. She was unbothered even during her marriage. I am not saying the male lead is great but atleast he seems like a human with emotions unlike her. And there is no context for why she is so emotionless....
The female lead is not charming but an unbothered b word, there is a very big difference. There is no point of extending this story at all because even if you write 1000+ chapters at 1001 the male lead would still be doing everything for her and she wouldnt bat an eye even if someone killed him. I mean honestly either the start should have been written better where we do understand that she was deeply affected because of her divorce or just STOPPPPP. Even for fiction it is annoying....
