Chapter 479 Are You Hurt
“It hurts!”
He stopped.
Lysander exclaimed, “I need to drink water now! I’m dying of thirst!”
Josialt seemed to hesitate for a moment, as if weighing his options.
Then, he graciously decided to let her off the hook. “I’ll go heat up some water.”
Lysander wasn’t all that knowledgeable in andrology.
However…
Is it really okay to end things so abruptly?
She had assumed she would at least have to wait until this round was over, yet he left just like that?
Josiah picked up the bathrobe she had worn the previous day from the floor and draped it over himself, then turned on the light.
The water had already been poured into the kettle the night before, so it was ready for use. He simply plugged it in, then walked over to draw the curtains.
The sunlight streamed in suddenly, causing Lysander’s eyes to sting painfully. She closed her eyes and turned her head away.
Josiah was not quite accustomed to the sudden brightness either. He squinted slightly as he walked over, reaching out to lift her blanket.
At that moment, Lysander couldn’t care less about her eyes. She quickly held the blanket down and asked, “What else do you plan on doing?”
“Didn’t you just say it hurts? Let me check if it’s injured.”
“No need!”
Josiah said, “I’ve seen it so many times already, so what’s there to be afraid of?”
“If you’ve grown tired of seeing mine then go find someone new!”
“Someone else isn’t hurting, and even if they are, it wasn’t my doing. What am I supposed to look at? Besides, I’ve never seen anyone else’s.”
Lysander still clung tightly to the blanket. “I don’t believe that you haven’t done it with Lysanne before.”
“She was pregnant at that time. Do you really think I’m a monster?”
“Well, I’m still sick!”
“Aren’t I treating you? Look, your fever has already subsided.”
Chapter 479 Are You Hurt
Josiah lightly chuckled. “But your fever has indeed subsided, hasn’t it? And your symptoms have lessened. Can you honestly say I’m not treating you?”
“You’re merely twisting facts.”
“This is what I call judging by the outcome,” he retorted.
“So, what you’re saying is, if Lysanne wasn’t pregnant, you’d still sleep with her, is that right?”
Josiah clicked his tongue. “Don’t regard me as such a desperate, lustful pervert. I’m quite picky, you know.”
“The person you’ve loved for so many years was right in front of you, so I simply refuse to believe it.”
“Back then, it was innocent love, declared Josiah. “If I were truly ruled by my desires, I wouldn’t have waited all these years, enduring the teasing and mockery from Aiden and the others.”
Lysander still didn’t believe it. “If you’re so virtuous and self–disciplined, why didn’t I see you continue to play the part of the upright gentleman after we got married?”
Josiah smacked his lips and replied. “I did plan to, but then…”
“But then, what?”
Josiah unlocked his phone to check the time. “It’s already ten past six, and the summit starts at eight. Considering the time it’ll take to shower, eat, and commute during Apex City’s morning rush hour… maybe we should skip the shower? It would save some time.”
Lysander knew he didn’t want to continue the conversation.
However, not taking a shower was simply out of the question.
She had taken a shower before going to bed last night, but now, she was covered in his saliva.
He had taken her bathrobe, and the new one was still in the wardrobe. All she could do was clutch her blanket as she got out of bed.
The moment her feet touched the ground, her body felt as if it had been electrocuted. The intense pain. was so overwhelming that she almost shed tears.
Luckily, the bed was right next to her. She didn’t end up in an embarrassing heap on the floor but instead plopped back onto the bed.
Upon seeing the situation, Josiah slowly made his way over. “Do you need my help?”
Lysander pointed toward the wardrobe in the distance. “Could you fetch me a fresh bathrobe?”
“I can’t be bothered to go.
Lysander could only stare at him in bewilderment.
Josiah picked up his shirt from the ground and handed it to her. “Put this on first.”
Lysander didn’t accept the article of clothing.
“If you don’t want to wear it that’s fine with me tonlon’t really mind‘

Chapter 479 Are You Hurt
Lysander, vexed, snatched his shirt before draping it on herself. Then, she quickly darted off into the bathroom with a light jog.
Fortunately, the room was equipped with a bathtub. After some contemplation, Lysander decided to skip
breakfast.
I can just grab some bread or something to cat on the road later. Taking a bath will at least help soothe my aching body.
Knock, knock.
Outside the bathroom door was a familiar silhouette of a person.
With a hint of annoyance in her slightly hoarse voice, she asked, “What else do you need?”
“Nothing. I was just worried you might have fallen asleep in the bathtub,” said Josiah, a smirk playing on his lips. He added, seemingly just to anger her. “And don’t forget your responsibilities. You’re a newcomer, and being late to your first summit will leave a bad impression.”
Lysander really wanted to fling the door open, turn on the shower, and drench the jerk, going down together in a blaze of glory. However, she was so worn out, her back and waist aching so much that she didn’t even have the strength to lift her arms. All she could do was let out a resigned sigh.
Quickly, the sound of footsteps outside the bathroom faded away, followed by the sound of a door closing.
At last, Josiah had left.
Only then did Lysander let her guard down, sinking into the warm water in the most comfortable position she could manage at the moment. After finally washing away the fatigue from her body, the annoying ringing of her phone sounded again just as she wanted to take a short rest on the clean sofa.
The person calling this time was Tiffany,
Suppressing the resentment that she initially intended to direct at Josiah, Lysander took a deep breath and politely picked up the call, asking, “Ms. Lanister?”
“Lysa, did you… just wake up? Tiffany’s voice held a hint of hesitation.
Lysander questioned, “Is there something you need?”
Tiffany said, “Are you coming down to the restaurant for breakfast? The chicken broth was a hit this morning, so it’s almost all gone. If you’re coming. I’ll set aside a bowl each for you and Jose.”
“Thanks, but I won’t be coming. I still have some matters to attend to. I’ll just grab something to eat on the way later.
“I see, all right then.”
“Um… Didn’t Josiah go out to have breakfast with you?”
“Jose mentioned that he went to the gym last night and had quite a workout, so he’s all sweaty. He’s in the room taking a shower now.”
“Oh, I sec.”

Update pls~...
Why no update ???...
Chapters 692 693 ans 694 are impossible to read. Not sure if there was an issue with translation.but the words do not make sense..impossible to follow story line...
I cant get over the fact that the writer is trying to show as if the male lead has committed a grave sin. First he didnt know she was pregnant because she never told him. Second right from the start she never communicated anything. She was unbothered even during her marriage. I am not saying the male lead is great but atleast he seems like a human with emotions unlike her. And there is no context for why she is so emotionless....
The female lead is not charming but an unbothered b word, there is a very big difference. There is no point of extending this story at all because even if you write 1000+ chapters at 1001 the male lead would still be doing everything for her and she wouldnt bat an eye even if someone killed him. I mean honestly either the start should have been written better where we do understand that she was deeply affected because of her divorce or just STOPPPPP. Even for fiction it is annoying....
