Lysander stood up and said. “I’ll go and handle the hospitalization procedures. By the way, your classmate will inform your homeroom teacher of the situation here. Your family will come to keep you company once they’re notified.”
Joseph abruptly sat up, his legs instinctively touching the ground. “Then, will you be coming again, Ms.
Thome?”
Lysander shook her head. “Probably not.”
Without a backward glance, she walked away. After completing the necessary procedures, she exited through the doors of the registration hall on the first floor.
As soon as she stepped out, she saw Josiah waiting there in a fit
Lysander continued walking straight ahead while Josiah straightened up and asked, “Is that brat any better?”
Lysander halted in her tracks. “There’s no way he would heal that quickly when his wounds have just been bandaged.”
At her detached demeanor and silence on the subject, Josiah said, “I truly didn’t do it on purpose.”
Lysander nodded. “I understand. It’s normal to have some bumps and bruises on the court. What I don’t quite get is this. You’re over a decade older than him, so why were you so serious with a kid? He’s at an age where he’s full of energy, but you’re-
Josiah’s gaze shot up. “You think I’m old?”
“No. What I meant is that you’re already a mature man. Besides, you’ve always been very cautious and prudent in your actions. Why did you suddenly join the basketball competition today and even…”
Lysander trailed off as a possibility suddenly occurred to her.
It couldn’t have been intentional on his part, right?
Following that thought, she found her emotions rather complex.
Even though Josiah claimed he was satisfied with maintaining the status quo, everything that transpired in the past few days made it clear that he was far from content with things remaining as they were.
Admittedly, Lysander was somewhat slow in that regard. However, she wasn’t so oblivious as to be entirely. clueless about everything.
But precisely because of that, she felt incredibly agitated.
“Lysander, do you think I was purposely targeting him?”
Lysander turned her face away/“No.”
“I was indeed targeting him.7
Lysander was at a loss for words. “You’re already in your thirties. Don’t you think this is childish?”

Josiah said. “I heard everything you said during your speech. Don’t assume he’s innocent just because he’s young. High school students these days are not like us back then. They understand everything. He might have even had several girlfriends by now. And do you have any idea about the kind of sexual fantasies boys his age have?”
Being a man himself, he understood all too well what Joseph was thinking.
Lysander couldn’t help recalling her high school days, where the most heinous individuals were merely Harry and Zachary.
She didn’t quite understand. “He wants to use me? But I wouldn’t be of any help to him.”
With a look of frustration, Josiah said, “I’m starting to sympathize with Adrian. You’re downright dense!”
Lysander said nothing.
Josiah’s Adam’s apple bobbed, a mix of frustration and hesitation evident in his voice. “Wait a moment. I’lI show you something.”
“What is it?”
“Just wait a moment.”
As Josiah spoke, he seemingly went to his WhatsApp and sent a message to someone.
Soon, he received a picture sent from the other person.
Josiah tapped open the image and snickered, then handed his phone to her. “See for yourself.”
Lysander took the phone dubiously. On the screen, Josiah had already maximized the picture. It featured a young woman in a white blouse, a black suit, and black high heels.
Hmm, she has a great figure. Her shirt is almost bursting at the seams.
“Look at her, then look at yourself.”
Lysander glanced down at her own attire. “I see the resemblance, but I’m not wearing black stockings. Nor am I sporting black–rimmed glasses.”
“Look at the words above.”
“It’s in a foreign language, and I can’t understand it.” Lysander looked up and asked Josiah, “You even know a foreign language?”
At her words, Josiah’s expression turned somewhat peculiar. “I only know a few words.”
“How many is a few?”
“A couple.”
“Words like no, idiot, and how cute?”
“Those
know would be censored in written form.”
I vander was struck dumb.

However, once she understood Josiah’s meaning, her feelings when she again looked at the picture on the screen changed significantly.
There was a string of foreign language characters, but though she couldn’t understand them, certain words. bore a resemblance to Ecronese.
For instance, female teacher, senior, and male student.
Buck!
The phone vibrated once more in her hand.
Lysander handed the phone back to Josiah. “You’ve got a message.”
Josiah didn’t take it. “Tap on it.”
Lysander closed the picture and returned to WhatsApp’s interface, only to see a newly sent video in the chat box under that image.
The thumbnail was identical to the picture above.
A foreboding feeling welled within Lysander.
Before she realized it, Josiah had reached out. He first turned the volume down to its lowest before playing the video.
In the next second, Lysander almost threw his phone away.
She quickly tossed the phone back to him and barked lowly, “What on earth is this?”
“This is what goes on in the minds of those hormone–ridden high school boys.”
Lysander’s face turned slightly red. A sense of panic washed over her, and she found herself unable to utter a single word.
Josiah put his phone away. “You probably think I’m again lumping everyone together, but it doesn’t matter. That brat is no saint. Just wait and see if you don’t believe me.”
Lysander swiftly walked away.

Update pls~...
Why no update ???...
Chapters 692 693 ans 694 are impossible to read. Not sure if there was an issue with translation.but the words do not make sense..impossible to follow story line...
I cant get over the fact that the writer is trying to show as if the male lead has committed a grave sin. First he didnt know she was pregnant because she never told him. Second right from the start she never communicated anything. She was unbothered even during her marriage. I am not saying the male lead is great but atleast he seems like a human with emotions unlike her. And there is no context for why she is so emotionless....
The female lead is not charming but an unbothered b word, there is a very big difference. There is no point of extending this story at all because even if you write 1000+ chapters at 1001 the male lead would still be doing everything for her and she wouldnt bat an eye even if someone killed him. I mean honestly either the start should have been written better where we do understand that she was deeply affected because of her divorce or just STOPPPPP. Even for fiction it is annoying....
