Lysander awoke from a nightmare, staring into the dark void of the night. It took her a long time to bring her thoughts back to reality.
She grabbed her phone and checked it, but there were no missed calls, and the police still had no updates.
Only a few messages from Carol reminded her that some documents needed Josiah's personal seal's stamp.
Wiping her face, Lysander realized she was drenched in cold sweat.
She did not sleep a wink the rest of the night.
The next day, Howard and Molly visited.
Howard had been juggling managing Thorne Constructions and Energies while accompanying Molly to the hospital for her rehabilitation. He wished he could split himself in two due to his hectic schedule.
However, Josiah's accident, while hidden from the public, couldn't be kept from those close to them.
“We heard about what happened.” Howard's voice was strained, his eyes filled with concern as he looked at Lysander. “Don't worry too much, Josiah will come back.”
Lysander was playing with the still-frightened Aurora. She paused at Howard's words but quickly smiled and replied softly, “Yes, I know.”
For some reason, Lysander had a strong feeling that Josiah was still alive, just temporarily missing even though his current situation seemed more like he was neither alive nor dead.
Worried that Lysander was putting on a brave face, Molly gently asked about her plans, “Lysa, you need to rest well. We are keeping an eye on things for Josiah.”
Lysander nodded but was clearly distracted.
Feeling bad for her, Howard suggested, “Lys, why don't you keep yourself busy with something else? Do you want to go back to the hospital to work?”
“I don't plan to go back for now,” Lysander said, having thought it through carefully.
Howard asked, “You don't want to continue being a doctor?”
“I do, but Josiah went missing trying to save me. Until he comes back, I can't just leave everything behind. Due to her position, Ms. Collins can't handle everyone. Josiah's personal seal is with me. I have to step in for as long as I can.”
Hearing that Lysander planned to manage Guerra Group temporarily, Howard was relieved but also worried.
“You will be overworked. Besides, Guerra Group is much more complex than Thorne Constructions and Energies. Even with Ms. Collins' help, it might be too much. Maybe find someone who can really hold things down.”
He glanced toward the second floor, where the master bedroom was located. The layout was the same as their own home.
Susan always appeared confident in front of others, certain that Josiah would return, but privately, she would often sigh.
When Lysander quietly inquired with Eleanor, she learned that Susan had been suffering from severe insomnia and needed sleeping pills to rest. This made her even more worried.

Update pls~...
Why no update ???...
Chapters 692 693 ans 694 are impossible to read. Not sure if there was an issue with translation.but the words do not make sense..impossible to follow story line...
I cant get over the fact that the writer is trying to show as if the male lead has committed a grave sin. First he didnt know she was pregnant because she never told him. Second right from the start she never communicated anything. She was unbothered even during her marriage. I am not saying the male lead is great but atleast he seems like a human with emotions unlike her. And there is no context for why she is so emotionless....
The female lead is not charming but an unbothered b word, there is a very big difference. There is no point of extending this story at all because even if you write 1000+ chapters at 1001 the male lead would still be doing everything for her and she wouldnt bat an eye even if someone killed him. I mean honestly either the start should have been written better where we do understand that she was deeply affected because of her divorce or just STOPPPPP. Even for fiction it is annoying....
