Something grabbed Noelle’s feet in the dark, and she fell sitting to the ground. Her phone flew out of her hand.
Noelle could not see a thing, and she knocked into the sink when she fell. The pain from her waist almost made her cry. She groped around the floor with both her hands and tried to stand, but there was a piercing pain in her foot. Noelle sat falling heavily to the floor.
“Help! Is anyone out there?”
Noelle finally managed to get up to crawl out after much effort. However, she was crestfallen when she realized the bathroom door was locked. She could not open it no matter how hard she tried. Fear overcame her.
Her breathing became erratic. Noelle was riddled with fear in such dark conditions. It reminded her of being accidentally locked inside a wardrobe when she was in the Shaw residence. She had screamed for help all of her might, but no one came to save her. She thought she was dying, and if Eli had not searched everywhere for her, she might have suffocated inside the wardrobe.
However, the more danger she was in, the more she knew she had to keep calm. Noelle clenched her teeth to force herself to calm down. She kept searching around the ground with her hands to find her phone. However, Noelle just could not find it.
Charles was just about to hang up when he heard Noelle screaming from the other end of the phone. A dark look appeared in his eyes as he suddenly stood up. “Nelly? Nelly? Talk to me!” However, Noelle did not reply to him.
“What’s wrong?”
Peter’s eyes narrowed. The lively private room suddenly turned deadly silent. Peter looked at Charles and knew something serious had happened when he saw the grim look on Charles‘ face. Peter raised his hand slightly, and everyone having fun in the room instantly stopped what they were doing.
Charles pressed his lips and stared at the phone. Noelle’s phone signal had been cut off. Her phone was turned off when he tried calling her again.
