Seeing that Noelle had no intention of talking to Xavier, Arya grabbed Noelle's arm, ready to leave.
Nevertheless, Xavier would not let them go so easily. "Noelle, can't you just hear me out?" he pleaded.
"And what do you want to say, Mr. Harris? I don't think there's much left for us to talk about, is there?" Noelle smiled lightly. "Whatever you want to say, say it here. I'll give you two minutes, and then we're leaving."
Xavier was about to react angrily, but seeing Noelle's face, he restrained himself. "How are you doing at Collosus Group?" he asked instead.
"Mr. Harris, can't you tell? I'm doing quite well. As long as I don't see any of you, I'll keep doing well. Is there anything else you'd like to know?"
Xavier's expression soured slightly, but he pressed on, "As long as you're well, that's good. So, um… which department are you in at Collosus Group now? I remember you were in the project department before. After leaving Frotconn, I thought…"
"Mr. Harris, get to the point! You're probably not at Collosus Group just to see me today. What do you want?"
"I… I just wanted to see how you're doing and ask about the West City project. Since you're in the project department, you probably know something about it, so—"
Noelle interrupted, "Sorry, you should know that I'm now an employee of Collosus Group. This information is all internal, and it doesn't seem appropriate for you to inquire about it. If I told you, wouldn't that make it hard for me to keep my job in this industry?"
Xavier's expression stiffened slightly. "That's not what I meant. I just wanted to ask if you knew any inside information. Why did Collosus Group suddenly decide not to partner with Frotconn? Wasn't it previously…"
