The Cherished Wife (Noelle and Charles) novel Chapter 939

Tania wanted to say something more, but when she saw Zara laughing happily with Brandon in the living room, she held back. "I came here with Brandon just to have a meal. You know that," she said.

Peter looked at Tania, his gaze lingering on her, making her feel uncomfortable. Thankfully, Zara noticed them.

"Mr. Peter, Ms. Tania, why are you still standing there? Is it because you couldn't find Ms. Tania's slippers? I put them in the shoe cabinet, just as you asked, Mr. Peter. After you mentioned Ms. Tania was back. I even washed them. They're very clean!"

"We found them, Zara!" Tania forced a smile. She quickly put on the slippers and moved past Peter into the living room.

Peter watched her retreating figure for a long moment before finally looking away. There was still time. He believed she would come back one day. He had all the time in the world, so he would wait.

Zara chatted with Brandon for a while. "Brandon, are you hungry? I made lots of tasty food! If you're hungry, we can eat right now."

"Yay!" Brandon patted his round belly. "I'm so hungry. Feed me, Grandma!"

"Oh, of course. I'll feed you," Zara said, smiling warmly.

As Tania watched Brandon interact with Zara, she confirmed that he was still just a child. He seemed to have forgotten what happened a year ago entirely.

Ever since they returned to Brookville, Brandon had been acting like a perfectly normal child around everyone, as if he had not been affected by past events.

However, if that were the case, why did his psychologist always say Brandon's emotional development was impaired? Why did he have so many nightmares every time they returned?

Tania could not be sure anymore. Brandon seemed entirely fine, interacting normally with everyone here, without any signs of trauma or cognitive delay.

"Let's eat," Zara said, guiding Brandon to the dining room.
