At the hospital, Peter glanced at Sean, who was busy working in his office. "When are you planning to stop?"
"You think I don't want to?" Sean shot him a look. "You may be free as a bird now, but I've still got work to do, and I'm dedicated to it."
Peter scoffed, tapping his long fingers on the desk. "Dedicated? If you're a model employee, all other employees must've vanished."
"Hey!" Sean could not take the insult. "Don't question my work ethic."
He tossed his pen down and looked at Peter with a serious expression. "If you've got something to say, spit it out. I'm busy. I have no time to babysit you."
"Fine. Has Brandon's test report come out?"
"Damn!" Sean's eyes widened as he suddenly remembered. "I almost forgot about that! Here it is."
Sean quickly handed over the report, and Peter's brows knitted together. He fixed Sean with a hard look that made Sean shiver.
"Hey, it's not my fault. I've been tied up with a bunch of tough surgeries lately. Plus, I've been running tests on Tania too, and I found a strange substance in her system."
"What did you say?" Peter's grip on the report tightened, crumpling it under his hands.
