Aileen
Brushing my hair while standing in front of the mirror takes me longer than it should as I can't stop observing Liam in the background. He hasn't been the same since he suddenly zoned out and has barely said a word to me. Could it be that I did something wrong?
Unable to take it anymore, I turn around, lean against the dressing mirror and playfully say, "You must be so lost in thought that you can't see how pretty my dress is."
He looks over at me with a chuckle, instantly approaching me as he nods with approval.
"You look beautiful." He kisses my forehead, rubbing the palms of his hands on the sides of my arms.
Though the forehead kiss feels warm, I can't help but feel he's not yet being his usual self.
"Is everything okay with you?" I ask, looking up at him.
He sighs. "Of course. I just have a lot on my mind."
Tucking my hair behind my ears, I point at them and say, "I'm all ears."
He giggles, wrapping his arms around me and kissing my forehead again.
"I bet you thought that was funny," he says.
"It definitely was." I nod while resting my head in his chest. "Can you please tell me what's on your mind?"
"I'll be fine."
My heart sinks a little, feeling like he's shut me out.
"Are you sure?" I ask.
"Don't worry about it. Now..."
He trails off, then suddenly lifts me and heads out the door.
"Hey, what are you doing?" My eyes widen as my feet dangle.
Looking down at me, he proudly says, "Can't I carry my wife?"
"You're quite the charmer, you know that?"
He proudly nods. "That's one of the reasons you're mine right now. Let's have some breakfast."
I tighten my grip around his neck as he carries me down the stairs and while I want him to focus on making his way down, I can't resist each time he brings his face closer for a kiss.
He finally makes it down the last step and walks past the chefs, who have been waiting so they can lead us to the dining room even though we already know where it is.
Not even their presence can make Liam put me down before we get there. It makes me feel a little awkward but I wouldn't want things any other way.
After making it to the dining room, the chefs stand at the end of the table and plan to be present while Liam and I have breakfast but before he even puts me down, he allows them to leave, saying it while slightly tightening his grip on my thigh.
Now left alone, he puts me down and pulls out a chair for himself to take a seat. My jaw drops at how he didn't start with mine, I pull out my own but just as I'm about to take a seat, he suddenly pulls me down and I sit right on his crotch.
"You're not getting any other seat here apart from this one." He bites his bottom lip, looking down at the curves of my lower half perfectly placed on him.
Though I find it sexy, my stomach rumbles and I say, "I'm starving."
"So am I." His tone is suggestive as he rests his hand on my thigh.
For a moment, it feels as if he's about to pull down my underwear and take me right here. The thought of it surprisingly excites me, but he clears his throat and begins to reach for the bowls, leaving me a little disappointed. I can't help but internally laugh at myself at how I now easily have such wild thoughts. It can only be because he's the one who brought out this side of me.
While reaching for the bowls seems to be easy at first, it turns out to only be the case with those closest to the reach of our arms.
To reach for a bowl a bit further away, I attempt to get up so I can get it, but he holds onto my thighs to keep me in place.
"Don't you dare get up unless I say so."
