The Day His Demands Broke My Water novel Chapter 23

I looked down at David, whose face was covered in tears, looking so pitiful.

If he hadn't betrayed me, I would have gently helped him up and soothed him with my soft voice.

But alas! Everything had been destroyed by his own hands.

The corner of my pants, which I had just cleaned, was dirtied again. I kicked David away with disgust.

"Your mouth that has kissed other women, your body that has slept with other women, it makes me sick. Get away from me, you shameless man. Get lost!"

"No, I won't leave. I really know I was wrong."

Hearing this, I looked at David with amusement.

"You really know you were wrong? Heh, but do you know? Hannah never loved you. She was just using you to hurt me."

I gave my assistant a look, and he took out a recorder and played it.

"Have you fallen for David, that useless man?"

"Baby, how could that be? He's just second-hand goods, a broken thing that's been used by someone else. I'm just acting with him, fooling him to help me take over The Wright Group."

"Really?"

"Of course, once The Wright Group is in my hands, I'll kick him to the curb, ha ha!"

"What about the baby?"

"Of course, it's yours!"

Hearing this, tears streamed down David's face.

If he had just said he knew he was wrong, it would have felt hollow.

But now that he knew he had been used all along, doing foolish things, that was when the real regret hit.

David cried out in despair, collapsing to the floor, his fingers painfully digging into the hard ground. He scraped his nails raw, revealing blood, but he didn't even feel the pain.

Hannah had already been taken by the police. Throughout the whole ordeal, she never once spared a glance at David, only glaring at me with anger, her face pale, and then she was in too much pain to stand.

David finally believed it. Everything was true.

He had helped Hannah hurt the person who loved him the most. He was really a fool.

In an instant, he suddenly stood up, grabbed the fruit knife from the table, and grinned as he chased after them. After they left, I had all the shareholders who had betrayed me fired, not leaving a single one.
