"Hey, hey, Lucas, why the rush? Your cousin is here too, right? You should also consider what Melody wants. Maybe she wants to stay?" Thalia interjected.
Lucas maintained a cold expression. "She already said she's tired."
In other words, there was no need to consider what Melody wanted since the only right thing to do was for her to go back to rest.
Melody was well aware of what Thalia was trying to do. She did not want to bring them back to her dormitory either; it was her sanctuary, after all.
"Well, if Miss Thalia is insisting on having lunch together, let's go eat outside the studio. I can rest after the meal," Melody suggested.
Both men seemed somewhat reluctant, but Thalia applauded enthusiastically.
"That's a good idea. You still need to eat some proper food even if you're tired. That way, your leg can heal faster!" Thalia exclaimed.
With that settled, they all prepared to leave. Lucas and Sherman walked beside Melody while Thalia went ahead alone.
"What are you all doing? If you keep helping me like this, I'll forget how to use my crutches," Melody said, feeling somewhat exasperated. She stopped walking.
Lucas decided to use this as an opportunity to ask, "Well if you're not going to use your crutches, shall I carry you then?"
However, he withdrew his hand the moment he caught Melody's rejecting gaze.
Sherman had not seen Melody use crutches before, and seeing it then made his heart ache. He frowned, and his gentle face was filled with concern for Melody.

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....

my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
