Melody felt even sadder after listening to Beatrice. She and Lucas had put on so many acts in front of her and Cedric, never expecting them to take it seriously. The more she heard Beatrice speak, the sadder she felt, realizing that perhaps Lucas really did not love her at all.
"Grandma, I understand what you mean. You and Grandpa have been so kind to me. I'm truly touched by the love you've shown me, which is even more than what I've experienced from my own parents! Even if Lucas and I part ways in the future, I'll definitely come back to visit you often."
What Melody said startled Beatrice, and she immediately grabbed Melody's wrist. "Melody, don't say such things. Did something happen recently? I've already asked you many times, but if you truly don't want to tell me, then I won't ask anymore. But you have to at least let me know what's going on between you and Lucas. There must be a reason why you are separating, right?" she interjected.
Melody did not want the elderly lady to keep guessing, so she explained the incident with Thalia and the intimate photo of her and Lucas. Beatrice's eyebrows furrowed tighter and tighter as she listened.
"Feelings cannot be forced, and I think Lucas likes Miss Thalia. It's best for everyone if I voluntarily step back. I don't want to be that insensitive person," Melody concluded.

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
