The Day I Kissed An Older Man novel Chapter 2429

Melody did not directly answer Lucas' question. She wanted to believe in Lucas, but she was also afraid of giving her heart away and having it trampled upon. Thus, she wanted to confirm his feelings for her first.

"I want to be with you, Melody. Not because we have a contract between us. Whether you believe it or not, we have plenty of time, and I'll prove it to you."

The two of them locked eyes in silence. Tears pooled in Melody's eyes.

Melody felt unclear if she had truly received what she wanted, but her tears at that moment were enough to show her happiness. The two embraced each other and fell asleep.

The next morning, when Melody woke up, she noticed that her waist was tightly held by someone. It was not until Lucas nuzzled her neck that Melody remembered what had happened last night.

Lucas had come to her in the early hours of the morning and confessed his feelings. It all felt like a dream, so when Lucas asked her what she was thinking, Melody was still in a daze.

"What are you thinking about?"

“Hm? Ah, nothing... This just feels surreal." Melody blushed slightly and turned away.

However, Lucas roughly flipped her over so that they were facing each other and placed a kiss on Melody's forehead.

"Do you still think it's a dream now? I'm right here with you. If you're uneasy, just hold my hand."

Melody lowered her gaze and smiled faintly. This only ever happened in her dream.

"After your scenes are done tomorrow, I'll take you to the hospital for another check-up," Lucas said.

Melody nodded. "Actually, it doesn't hurt anymore now. I can walk without crutches."

"No," Lucas immediately vetoed her, "because what if there are complications later on? You have to listen to the doctor. Wait until you're completely pain-free before ditching the crutches."

"Okay, I'll listen to the doctor."

Since Lucas arrived at Melody's dormitory, she was carried by him wherever she went. At first, Melody felt a bit embarrassed. She was not a three-year-old child who needed to be carried around like this!
