Chapter 321
“Shut up! I’m driving, so now’s not the time to say anything that’ll anger me. Just wait quietly and I’ll explain everything to you later. Be a good girl and listen to me, okay?” said Jeremy in a stern but coaxing tone while keeping his eyes focused on the road ahead.
Corinne frowned and obediently sank back into her seat. A multitude of feelings was roiling inside her as she silently stared out of the window at the passing scenery.
In the middle section of the Cross River Bridge, a black commercial sedan with double flashing lights was parked on the side of the road.
Jeremy drove past the car and pulled over. Corinne had no intention to get out of the car, but he still reached over to help her unbuckle her seat belt.
“What are you waiting for? Get out of the car now!”
She had no choice but to follow him out of the car.
Anya greeted them as soon as the two of them got out of the car. She coughed weakly twice before saying, “Jeremy, you’re here!”
Jeremy nodded at her. He then turned his attention to Lucas, who was standing by the car, and asked him, “What’s wrong with your car?”
Lucas patted the front bonnet and said, “The engine might be flooded with water. It stopped working after I drove over some puddle.”
Jeremy tossed him the keys to his car. “Here, you can use my car to take your sister home first.”
Lucas caught the keys with one hand. His expression was slightly stiff, but then he smiled. “Thank you for coming all the way out here to help us.”
Then, Lucas took a closer look at Corinne, who was standing quietly by the side. He had to admit he was rather impressed by how she managed to have Jeremy eating out of the palm of her hand. Jeremy would never have ignored Anya like that in the past.
“Jeremy, how are you going to get home, then? Why can’t you drive us home instead of giving us the car?” Anya asked anxiously.
“No can do. The two of us want to take a walk along the bridge, ” said Jeremy. He then patted Corinne pointedly on the head.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Day I Kissed An Older Man
This book is a good book, but it’s too short. I hope it has a part two👍🏾...
This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
Great writing! I almost cried when Helen hit Melody! So sad! 😭 can’t wait to see how the relationship with her and Lucas develops though. So tired of the repetitive problems with different people....
Yikes my body tenses so much, my moods change as the scenes change. It leaves me wanting to continue reading....
my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
We have updated progress from 7 chapters/day to 10 chapters/day.<3...
i love grandma Beatrice, there needs to me more people like her in the world straight forward and to the point, no beating around the bush and worrying about offending anyone, why pretend to be someone your not....
looking forward to more chapters, The same thing is happening to Melody as what happened to Luna, if Luna was back maybe she would set Lucas straight, can't wait to see how Lucas handles the situations that will arrive. Poor Melody....
ya Lucas pay more attention to Melody lets see what happens waiting for more chapters thanks...
