“Hahaha … ” Mona laughed, her body shaking with charm, her allure undeniable. 

Reynold couldn’t help but shiver.

This woman is all smiles, but her laughter hides a blade!

“Retreat? What’s the rush?” Reynold groaned, still hunched over, the pain making him grit his teeth. “Why the hell are we working to a schedule?” 

Mona scoffed, her voice dripping with disdain. “Reynold, you and Commander–in–chief Ramsey are both men, yet I just can’t stand you! Let me tell you something from the heart: A man like Commander–in–chief Ramsey, he’s the kind of guy I dream about … you know. 

“He’s a king among men! Just thinking about him makes my blood race! 

“Compared to him, you’re nothing but a filthy pig!” 

Reynold’s face flushed with humiliation, and he almost lashed out, ready to punch her. 

But he held back. 

Mona was carrying out Robin’s orders, and Robin was no one to mess with. He was a true, cold–blooded devil. 

Reynold gritted his teeth, swallowing his rage, and signaled his team to pull out of the newly constructed fortifications. 

Meanwhile, the beasts in the northwest corner of the Dark Woods were growing in numbers. 

In the pitch–black space, countless pairs of glowing green eyes slowly moved toward the Star Troopers. 

Alexander, Pierre, and the other commanders grew tense.

Pierre’s eyes were fixed on Robin, waiting for his orders. 

Robin pointed toward the dark mass of beasts. “Do you really think the Star Troopers can stand up to these monstrous creatures with their current equipment? 

“These beasts aren’t like the wild animals on Earth. The strength of these creatures is hundreds of times more powerful than anything we have back home.” 

Alexander instinctively nodded. “I understand that, but we can’t just sit here and wait to die, 

can we? 

“If we don’t strike now, we’ll lose all our fighting forces by the time we’re overrun. 

“These 20 squads are the finest military elite from Earth!” 

Pierre shook his head helplessly. “Even with 200 elite troops, each one being the best in the world, once we enter this area, human strength barely matters. 

“Without top–tier advanced weapons, fighting these beasts is like throwing stones at a tank.” 

Alexander’s impatience flared. “At least we should make a last stand! 

“They’re strong, but we can’t just sit here, do nothing, and wait for death!” 

Robin let out a soft laugh. “I won’t make pointless sacrifices. 

“A desperate last–ditch effort will only send our soldiers to their deaths. 

“War isn’t about sacrificing lives–it’s about surviving and living to fight another day!” 

Alexander shook his head bitterly. “Survive? You don’t want to sacrifice anyone? So, are we just supposed to wait for these beasts to stop attacking on their own?” 

“Of course, why wouldn’t I?” Robin replied, his smile cold and indifferent. 

“In less than two minutes, these beasts will stop their advance, and they’ll quickly retreat!”

“Impossible!” Alexander sneered, disbelief in his voice. “Commander–in–chief Ramsey, are you gambling with us?” 

Robin chuckled softly. “Alexander, I’m seriously starting to doubt you. As a senior commander of Tanqueria Special Forces, you’re panicking in the face of this situation? 

“Remember, I’m the Commander–in–chief of this squad. The fate of the Star Troopers rests entirely in my hands! 

“If you can’t understand that, then shut your d*mn mouth!” 

“Oh!” Pierre gasped, his eyes widening in disbelief. “The beasts have really stopped moving toward us!” 

Alexander’s eyes bulged as he stared at the pack of beasts just 600 feet away, a mix of shock and confusion on his face. 

They had actually stopped! 

He couldn’t make sense of what was happening. What is going on? 

“Commander–in–chief Ramsey, the construction of the main base is nearly finished. I suggest we withdraw from this area for now, wait until it’s safe, then resume building,” Simmond and the others reported to Robin. 

“We should pull back at this point. 

“If we engage in a direct confrontation with these beasts, the Star Troopers will suffer catastrophic losses.” 

“Not catastrophic losses–but complete annihilation!” Robin replied coldly, his gaze fixed on the massive beasts before them.
