Alexander quickly pulled out a long–range telescope and turned it toward the sunny southern region. 

That area was the territory of the LI Mystic Realm’s realm master. 

As soon as the Star Troopers had entered the Mystic Realm, they had been bound by the realm master’s rules. 

Within a twenty–mile radius of the Shadow Castle, entry without permission was strictly prohibited. 

Anyone who violated this would be obliterated by the precise targeting lasers of the Mystic Realm guards. 

The realm master needed to test whether the Star Troopers had what it took to become warriors of the Mystic Realm. 

Alexander gazed toward the realm master’s Shadow Castle, a place that exuded solemnity and 

mystery. 

Under the blinding sunlight, the towering hundred–foot walls of the castle were emblazoned with a bold, glaring message: 

Everything for the benefit of Earth’s people, everything for the safety of Earth’s people, everything for the welfare of Earth’s people! 

“What an impressive slogan!” Alexander couldn’t help but murmur. 

“This Mystic Realm master must be a selfless saint, dedicated to the well–being of Earth’s people! 

Alexander lowered the telescope, “Commander–in–chief Ramsey, Garth has written such a slogan. It’s clear he can be trusted. 

“I hate to say it, but isn’t the real reason you didn’t want to establish the main base near Shadow Castle because you’re worried Garth might pose a threat to us? 

“If that’s your thought, then I think you might be overestimating things. 

“Anyone who speaks about the welfare of Earth’s people must be a man of great virtue.” 

Robin chuckled. “Those who fancy themselves as great men of virtue are often the greatest villains. 

“Among Earth’s people, there are many who talk endlessly about kindness and morality, yet behind closed doors, they are nothing more than beasts.

At this point, Robin checked the time. “In ten minutes, you’ll see the truth.

Alexander paused, then asked, “Commander–in–chief Ramsey, this question has troubled me for a long time. I really don’t understand why.” 

Robin smiled indifferently. “Top–tier talent is everywhere. But to become truly outstanding, the competition is fierce. 

“The reason is simple. You must have emotional intelligence. 

“A military strategist is no exception. A commander who can’t understand human nature and relationships will never rise to the top.” 

Alexander furrowed his brow. “Emotional intelligence? This is the first time I’ve heard that being a requirement for a top–tier commander.” 

Robin looked toward the Dark Woods, where the monstrous creatures were still closing in. “Soon enough, you’ll understand what I mean.” 

Only then did Alexander realize the beasts were now less than 150 feet away. 

These terrifying creatures would go berserk the moment they received a command from their leader. 

“Commander–in–chief Ramsey, the beasts are getting closer.” Pierre, who had remained calm until now, could no longer hide his anxiety. 

“Should we have Simmond and the others stop their construction and immediately join us to prepare for battle?” 

Robin pointed southwest toward Shadow Castle. “Our offensive strength is not here. It’s over there.” 

Pierre and Alexander both turned their attention to the direction Robin was pointing. 

In the southwest of Shadow Castle, a formidable fortress had rapidly risen from the ground. 

“Wow! Reynold and Mona are incredibly capable!” Alexander exclaimed in surprise. 

“In such a short amount of time, they’ve managed to complete such an impressive construction! 

“Commander–in–chief Ramsey, you truly are something else!

“Now I get it. This is a classic case of feigning strength while preparing for a surprise attack! 

“You had Simmond and the others build the base here to deceive the beasts…” 

Robin pressed a button on his encrypted comm device. “Reynold, immediately raise the Star Troopers‘ flag around the perimeter of the base–make it extremely noticeable! 

“Finish this in three minutes, then quickly evacuate the base! 

“When you evacuate, use camouflage and leave in small groups. Move quickly, or you might as well prepare to stay on this deserted island forever.” 

Alexander and Pierre were completely confused. 

They had no idea what Robin was trying to accomplish with such a strategy. 

As Alexander, Pierre, and the 17 elite teams stationed at the northwest corner of Dark Woods gathered, they found themselves caught in a whirlwind of uncertainty. 

Unbeknownst to them, while Robin had instructed Simmond and the others to establish a base in the northwest corner of the Dark Woods, he had also ordered Reynold and Mona to construct a similar–sized base in the southwest corner, near the Mystic Realm Master. 

Reynold’s orders were clear: construct only a basic framework for the base. 

Strictly speaking, the “base” he was building was nothing more than a prop–large enough to be knocked down by a strong breeze. 

Both Reynold and Mona were baffled by the order. 

Though they didn’t waste any time getting started, Reynold couldn’t help but wonder what Robin was up to. 

Why was Robin having Simmond’s team build a real base in the northwest, while he and Mona only had to put together something that could barely stand on its own in the southwest? 

Reynold even started to suspect that Robin might have some kind of sinister plan to wipe out all 19 battle squads, leaving Dragon Soul Special Forces with an easy path to the L1 Mystic Realm Semifinals championship. 

But no matter his suspicions, Reynold couldn’t afford to defy Robin’s orders.
