Chapter 2085 Don’t Think About It
Mitchell wanted Chatty to attend Chance’s birthday party?
Nicole immediately rejected Mitchell’s invitation.
“She’s not even two years old, and she doesn’t even remember what Chance looks like.”
Besides, Nicole did not want Chatty to interact with the Ferguson family.
Nicole was not being petty.
She just felt that the Ferguson family was a wolf’s den. No one could get out without being bitten.
Although Nicole felt sorry for Chance, she did not want to take the chance with Chatty.
Thus, Nicole did not want Chatty to attend Chance’s birthday party.
Mitchell smiled and said politely, “Ms. Stanton, Mr. Ferguson is away on a business trip. Chance’s teachers organized this birthday party for him while we pay for the expenses. No one in the industry is invited. Only a few children from school are going. I’ve also booked the entire amusement park for this party, so there won’t be any outsiders. There are ample security guards on duty, so you can rest assured that no strangers will be allowed in.”
“Mitchell, you don’t need to tell me this. You know about what happened between me and the Ferguson family, so I don’t want my daughter to interact with his son.”
Nicole rejected him bluntly.
Mitchell knew exactly what Nicole was concerned about.
However, he could not bear thinking about Chance’s pitiful little eyes.
After some thought, Mitchell took out a handkerchief from his pocket. Something was wrapped in the handkerchief.
He handed it over to Nicole.
“Ms. Stanton, Chance is grateful that you saved him. Although he’s still young, he remembers what you did for him. Did you drop this earring? He secretly kept it aside for you and asked me to give it back to you no matter what. I know that you don’t want to have anything to do with the Ferguson family, but please think about Chance. This birthday party is very meaningful to him, so will you please allow Chatty to attend for Chance’s sake? I promise that I won’t let Chatty be in danger. I’ll keep someone around her at all times.”
The earring wrapped in the liA< AwLyYRkerchief was the one that Nicole lost in the hospital.
Unexpectedly, Chance found it.
Chance had a speech disability, which was indeed pitiful and heartbreaking.
Nicole saw Mitchell’s sincerity and remembered how much Mitchell had taken care of her back then. Thus, it was hard to reject him again.
She paused, lowered her eyes, and said, “I’ll think about it.”
It was not easy for Nicole to say that.
Mitchell did not force Nicole to agree right away.
He immediately handed over the invitation and left.
Nicole glanced at the invitation and threw it on the table.
She decided to come up with an excuse and reject him on the day itself.
Jay Malone liked staying at the Stanton Mansion because he could push Fischer to Nicole.
That was because after Fischer got to know Chatty, he kept going to Jay, fiddling with his fingers and asking Jay why Chatty still did not come over to play with him.
Jay could not stand it anymore, so he simply asked Nicole to take Fischer away.
There was nothing Nicole could do. Since Fischer did not have any playmates in the Stanton Mansion, she simply brought him back home.
Anyway, this child was well-behaved and did not cry or make trouble.
Clayton knew about it and did not object to it.
Clayton, who had always been very picky about Chatty’s acquaintances, was surprisingly more tolerant toward Fischer.
Nicole thought that perhaps Fischer met Clayton’s requirements.
Fischer was obedient, easy to bully, and did not fight back or talk back to Chatty. 1
Fortunately, they had enough space at home. They also had two maids, which was more than enough to take care of the children.
Every time Clayton watched Chatty and Fischer play together, he always smiled and yearned for the future.
After Nicole washed up at night, Clayton was not in the bedroom.
Nicole went to Chatty’s playroom and saw the three of them building Legos.
To be precise, only Clayton and Fischer were building something.
Chatty was there to make trouble.
When they were done building, Chatty would destroy them, and she never got tired of it.
However, Fischer was not at all upset by this. After he finished building something, he would take it to Chatty for her to destroy.
Nicole snorted and thought, ‘He’s quite the masochist at such a young age, huh?’ 1
She watched them for a while, and Clayton finally noticed her.
He stood up, touched her damp hair, and frowned slightly.
“Be careful. Don’t catch a cold.”
Clayton took Nicole’s hand and asked the maid to babysit the children.
Nicole looked at him with a smile.
“It’s rare that you don’t have a temper with a boy who’s close to Chatty.”
Clayton smiled. “Lil Fish is well-behaved.”
“Oh, really?”
Clayton hugged Nicole from behind and kissed her hair.
“Just now, Chatty called him little brother.”
Nicole looked at Clayton in shock. Chatty did not have a younger brother, so where did she learn to say this?
What’s more, Fischer was older than Chatty, so she should be calling him big brother!
Clayton looked at Nicole with a smile. “Can’t you see? Chatty wants a younger brother!”
Nicole was stunned for a few seconds and understood what he meant.
She lightly slapped his chest. Her bright face flushed red, and she said coquettishly, “Don’t even think about it. I don’t want to get pregnant again. You can give birth to another baby yourself! ”
Clayton was not angry. He put his arms around her slender waist and gently kissed her cheek from above. He embraced her tightly and said in a warm voice, “It’s fine if you don’t want to get pregnant. Let me just hug you.”
Nicole moved her waist and avoided his hands.
“Are you hugging me or molesting me?”
Clayton replied, “What do you think?”
The police still did not find any clues about Tina’s and Zach’s deaths.
Thus, the case could only be concluded as suicide.
Nicole did not pursue the contract, so the assets naturally fell into Kirsi’s hands.
It was not because Nicole pitied Kirsi. She pitied the child in Kirsi’s womb.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Divorced Billionaire Heiress
I liked this book and wanted to read it. As I have moved into the chapters, I have found that it is unreadable due to typographical errors, including sentences that are incomplete, complete gibberish, missing elements. This is not just some misspelled words. It is actually unreadable. If you decide to fix this, let me know and I will read it....
