Chapter 282 Because He Said You‘re His Life 

Nicole was a little confused by that title. Eric touched his nose, stood up, and looked a little diffident when he swept a glance at Nicole‘s face. 

However, as soon as Eric turned around, he looked at the group of soldiers behind him with a glum face and said, “Keep 

quiet!” 

Everyone subconsciously quieted down for fear of Eric‘s strong aura. However, they still stretched their necks to look at Nicole and refused to leave. 

Nicole chuckled and looked in the direction of the door. Her voice was gentle and soft. 

“Hi guys, thanks for risking your lives to save me.” 

She was incredibly grateful from the 

bottom of her heart. If not for them, Nicole might have died on that island long ago. 

“You‘re welcome, sis. We‘re fellow Medianians, and we‘re really proud of what you‘ve done! Besides Ferg, you‘re the only one in this world who dares to point a gun at the pirate captain David‘s head.” 

“Yeah! You and Ferg truly are a perfect match! 

The tall man in a white doctor‘s coat standing at the front helplessly walked 

over. 

“I’m going to do a follow–up check. Will you guys keep it down? 

After saying that, Dr. Jackson looked at Eric and said, “Take this bunch outside.” 

Eric‘s dark gaze was somewhat hesitant. He glanced at Nicole, then walked out. 

You too.” The doctor looked at Kai. 

Kai‘s face, which was still smug a moment ago, was instantly dreary. He then reluctantly walked out of the room. 

Every time Kai came over to take care of Nicole, he would be “invited out” by Eric! s group of soldier buddies, who were just helping Eric to get some alone time with Nicole. Kai was so upset and did not think that he would still be treated like this even after Nicole was awake. 

The room finally quieted down. 

Nicole smiled and looked at the doctor.” Thank you, doctor. Sorry for the trouble.” 

The doctor raised his eyebrows and shook his head. 

“You‘re not the same as legend says.” 

As he talked, Jackson took out a series of instruments to test her heart rate and 

wounds. 

“What legend?” Nicole asked. 

“Well, from what we saw on the news, the heiress of Stanton Corporation is pampered, arrogant, and has a temper. Eric once said that you‘re quite the stubborn and capricious character...” 

This doctor was really direct. 

Nicole was a little stunned. If Eric could say this to him, it meant that they had a close relationship. 

She did not want to continue this discussion and changed the topic. 

“Doctor, how is Nathaniel, the guy who 

left with me?” 

The doctor paused for a moment. “He‘s fine. He can eat and sleep just fine. He finally knows his place after getting beaten up by Eric.” 

Nicole was taken aback. “Why did Eric beat him up?” 

“You don‘t know that he‘s Eric‘s nephew? The Ferguson family didn‘t like that he‘s an explorer and cut off his allowance because of this, but he somehow found the resources by himself and ran off to that island alone. The Ferguson family didn‘t even know where he went, and he‘ s been reported missing for three months! If not for saving you this time, he ‘s probably still unaccounted for...” 

Nicole was stunned. Her mind suddenly flashed back to her semi–conscious state when Nathaniel yelled “Uncle Eric“. 

That meant Nathaniel, whom she met by accident, was really Eric‘s nephew.
