After Robert wrapped up his chat, he and Mirabella headed back outside. They didn't have to wait long before the lead professor of the Math Department and his students showed up.

The Math professor took a quick look at Robert and then glanced toward the hotel lobby, still wearing a look of disbelief. "Your department really knows how to splurge."

Her words surprised not just the Math professor but also the other students behind her. Nobody had heard that Dr. Elliot took on a new student. And Mirabella seemed like a total mystery.
