Grady lingered quietly for a bit before slipping out of the office.
Outside the station, his crew was still on duty. When they spotted him, one of them quickly whispered, "Grady."
Grady gave a slight nod, thinking for a moment before saying, "Head to the hospital and bring Summer out."
The guy nodded, "Got it."
"Oh, and while you're at it, find a psych ward," Grady added, hands tucked behind his back, eyes fixed on something outside.
Since Miss Mira said it was a mental issue, that's where she should be, he figured.
The guy shot him a quick look, unsure of the plan, but guessed it had something to do with Summer, so he just followed orders.
Not long after, he headed out.
Grady waited outside until Mirabella came out, and then he personally took her back to the hotel.
**
Over at Riverside University.
Joen was stuck in the lab, waiting for Summer to show up with the person.
By three in the afternoon, he'd heard nothing, so he decided to call her.
As soon as she picked up, he snapped, "Summer, what are you doing? Where's that person? Weren't they supposed to be here by noon? Why aren't they here yet?"
Joen was really losing his patience, and it showed in his tone.
When Summer didn't reply, he lost it, "Are you mute or something? Say something!"
Then, just like that, the call ended with a beep.
Joen's face turned dark.
Did she just hang up on him?
He tried calling her again, but her phone was off, unreachable.
