The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella) novel Chapter 1650

Keir finally started showing some genuine emotions, which was quite the surprise since he hadn’t even met Miss Mira yet. But somehow, he seemed really interested in her. Even back when Summer was around, he never reacted like this. It was enough to make Grady genuinely curious.

Miss Mira definitely had something special about her. Her presence, her aura—it set her apart from your typical spoiled heiresses. Mirabella cradled her cup, her light pink dress accentuating her fair skin, making her look even more radiant. Her bright, clear eyes sparkled as she replied sweetly, “I’m really looking forward to meeting Chester.”

Grady chuckled softly, but knowing the strict traditions of the Davis family, he took a moment to think before giving Mirabella a heads-up: “By the way, Miss Mira, the Davis family has some pretty strict rules. Just stick with me, and if anyone else tries to talk to you, feel free to brush them off.”

Even though the chances of anything happening were slim, Grady wanted to be cautious. Mirabella noticed the seriousness in Grady’s eyes and thought this must be how elite families roll. She nodded, “Okay, uncle.”

“Miss Mira, don’t stress about it. Just treat it like your own home,” Grady reassured, worried he might have come off too serious. “It is your family, after all.”

Mirabella’s eyebrows arched as she gently traced the rim of her cup with her fingers. Suddenly, she remembered something and asked, “Uncle, there's something I've been wondering for a while. Do you know why my parents seem to not want me hanging around you?”

Grady was a bit surprised, “What do you mean?”

“It’s just that my parents seem to be against me having contact with you,” Mirabella explained the question that had been on her mind for ages. Even on phone calls, her mom, Delilah, would subtly ask if she was spending time with Grady. It happened so often that Mirabella couldn’t help but think there was more to it.
