Chapter 2288

"I've already given you a chance, Angus, and now it's up to you how you want to play this!" Arthur added curtly. He knew that his threat put Angus in his place.

"I won't back down, Uncle Arthur, not even if you use banishment to threaten me!" Angus declared, finally coming to a decision.

The best way of returning Leon's kindness was choosing to stand by his side in the face of doubt, and now that Angus was certain Leon was wrongfully blamed, he could not allow Arthur and August to hurt him!

He had to protect Leon against all odds, even if it meant sacrificing himself for the greater good!

As for Arthur's punishment, he knew that Arthur was likely just acting out of character because vengeance clouded his judgment!

He was certain that after getting to the bottom of Yonas's death and proving Leon's innocence in this, he would be able to resolve the misunderstanding between both sides, and everything would be okay again!

He was not too worried about that at all!

"Very well then! You asked for this, Angus, and if you insist, I shall hereby denounce you from the Thompson family!

Everyone in your line of descendants are hereby also banished, and from today onwards, we collateral descendants have nothing to do with you anymore!" Arthur declared without a moment's hesitation.

This decision would hereby shatter the entire Thompson family into two!

"Let's go!" with that, Arthur gestured toward August and the rest and stormed off in a huff.

Leon let out a sigh of relief as he watched them leave. Although he possessed the final Potential Energy Force and was thus not afraid of Arthur, he was still unwilling to use brute violence on them, out of consideration of his friendship with the Thompsons!

If he were to accidentally harm Arthur in the process, this would only make things worse!

Needless to say, this was not the outcome he wanted!

In conclusion, now that Angus helped him attain the valuable three days to prove his innocence, this shed a glimmer of hope in this bleak situation!
