Chapter 2289

"Thank you for everything you've done for me today, Mister Thompson, and thanks to Roanne too," Leon strode over to Angus and Roanne to thank them after Arthur left.

"You don't have to thank me, Mister Wolf. You have been so kind to us in the past, and this is the least Roanne and I can do. Besides, my Uncle Arthur and August have lost their sense of judgment because they are overcome with anger, and this is why they wrongfully blamed you. I hope you can understand," Angus let out a sheepish smile as he apologized on behalf of Arthur and August.

"No problem. I can understand how they're feeling. However, I can't help but wonder how we're going to approach this, considering you were banished from your own family for no reason," Leon sighed.

Angus' insistence to go against Arthur's orders and finally getting banished from the family as a result was a testament to his loyalty to Leon. As touched as Leon was by this grand gesture, he could not help being worried that the Thompsons would take a big hit as a result of this major change in power.

This would not bode well for the Thompsons as a whole!

"That's okay! My Uncle Arthur is just at the height of his anger and acted rashly. Everything will be solved once we investigate and reveal the truth, not to mention find the real murderer!" Angus replied.

"Yes, you're right." Leon nodded in agreement. He knew Angus was right; as long as they could find the real culprit and resolve the misunderstanding, Arthur and Angus would reconcile again.

"Mister Thompson, there are too many people about, and this isn't the place to discuss matters like this! you and Roanne should come to my office so we can talk about this in detail!" Leon suggested, then gestured for Chandler and Mason to stay back and settle the rest.

With that, he led Angus and Roanne to his office upstairs, followed suit by Iris and Snow.
