Chapter 33
Gideon arrived with his entourage and surveyed the scene. Besides Erie, there were five other young men, all dressed in designer brands and wearing watches worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. They were clearly spoiled heirs from wealthy families.
Fred leaned in and whispered, “We might have a problem. Those are the heirs from the Mackenzie, Winston, Campbell, Lane, and Torres families–all second–tier families with close ties to the Gross family.”
Gideon nodded slightly, understanding the situation.
Meanwhile, Eric’s laughter dripped with mockery, “Gideon you finally decided to show yourself. I was starting to think you would hide like a coward.”
Gideon smirked. “After yesterday’s beating, you should know better by now. Look at you. Your face is still swollen and bruised. Do you really think I’d back down?”
Eric’s face turned ashen, unable to respond. At that moment, Ivan Mackenzie stepped forward with a sneer. ” Gideon, long time no see! I heard you’ve been farming for the past five years. Are you back to turn the Snow family into farmers, too?”
The group burst into laughter as another chimed in, “Oh, Gideon, we looked up to you five years ago, but now, look at how far you’ve fallen–just a nobody leading a struggling family.
“Do you really think you can revive the Snow family? Do you have what it takes?”
Ivan said coldly, “Listen up, Gideon. We’re here to tell you to sell your company to Eric for 100 thousand dollars. Otherwise…”
He smirked menacingly as he added, “Our six families will join forces to crush your company. I bet this trashy business will be bankrupt within days.”
The Snows burned with anger and worry at these words. Selling Snow Corporation for a mere 100 thousand dollars would be utterly humiliating. Yet, in their current state, the Snow family was not equipped to fight back the wrath of six powerful families.
All eyes turned to Gideon–their only hope.
“100 thousand dollars?” Gideon chuckled, then turned to Eric. “Eric, did you forget to deliver my message to your old man yesterday?”
“What message?”
“So, you ignored them? Well, here’s a reminder–I told you to have the Gross family ready because I’ll be acquiring Gross Group soon.”
