Chapter 34 

“Are you done laughing?” Gideon asked, causing Eric and group to fall silent immediately 

“If you’re done, get out of mysight,” Gideon continued. “And Eric, don’t forget about the acquisition–tell your father to prepare the contract.” 

Eric’s face twisted in fury. “You’ve got some nerve, Gideon Talking like you actually can do it. Well, I came here for two things today–first, to buy this worthless company and second to settle the score for what you did to me. 

At that moment, about 60 intimidating men burst into the lobby. 

Fred and the others paled instantly. They could tell at a glance that these men were clearly dangerous criminals and were far more than their 20 security guards could handle. 

Eric sneered, his tone dripping with malice as he said, “Since you’re such a tough guy, Gideon, we brought some friends for you. These 58 gentlemen are hardened criminals with blood on their hands. I hope you don’t disappoint them.” 

In seconds, the thugs encircled Gideon, making the rest of the Snow family uneasy. 

Across the street, Rachel watched everything unfold from inside a sleek yet understated Maserati. Her elderly driver, Wilder Morrick, who was also the Avila family’s trusted butler and Simon’s close friend, glanced at her. 

He asked, “Ms. Avila, what are you waiting for? Gideon will be crippled if we don’t intervene. Even I would struggle against that many thugs!” 

Rachel clenched her fists nervously. She wanted to see if Gideon could handle six families on his own, but she was also worried for his safety. 

“Ms. Avila!” Wilder urged again. His concern was genuine. As the head butler of the Avila family and Simon’s trusted confidant, he held a respected position in the Avila family. 

Having watched Rachel grow up, he fully supported Simon’s plan for Rachel to win over Gideon. He believed in Simon’s judgment, already considering Gideon as Rachel’s future husband. 

“Alright,” Rachel conceded and quickly sent several messages. 

Back in the lobby, Eric laughed triumphantly. “Not so cocky now, are you, Gideon? Here’s the deal–I was going to have them break all your limbs, but I’ll give you a chance. 

“If you get on your knees, call me ‘Daddy‘ three times, and slap yourself three times, I’ll let you keep one hand. How’s that for mercy?” 

The Snows were furious but dared not speak up. 

Gideon scoffed. “What a pathetic bunch! If I didn’t mind dirtying my company’s lobby, these street thugs would already be on the ground.” 

“What did you say?” Eric and his group stared in disbelief while the Snows were stunned by Gideon’s apparent bravado. 

“You asked for it!” Eric shouted. “Take him down! Don’t hold back, and make sure to cripple him for life. Our families will handle any consequences!” 

Just as the thugs were about to attack, phone rings echoed through the lobby. One by one, Erie’s group pulled out: their phones, only to find their fathers calling them.
