The next morning, three cars were parked in front of Madison’s house. 

As Harvey accompanied Madison out, he asked, “Are you sure you don’t need me to arrange for bodyguards to follow you?”

Queenie approached. “I brought four bodyguards with me, Harvey. Don’t worry.” 

Harvey glanced at Queenie. “I’m sorry about the ghost shrine incident.” 

That situation had caused a significant rift between the Lockes and the Andersons. Rebecca refused to admit she was wrong and was even less willing to apologize. However, Harvey felt that regardless of Rebecca’s intentions, hurting Queenie was inexcusable. 

Queenie was stunned for a moment, then waved her hand dismissively. “In the end, it was my fault.” 

If she hadn’t been so desperate for love, she wouldn’t have fallen into the trap.. 

As Rebecca got out of the car, she heard Harvey apologizing to Queenie, which made her eyes well up with tears. Noticing this, Tanya gently patted her hand and shot a disapproving glare at Harvey. 

The Lockes had arranged for four bodyguards. Harvey turned to Tanya and asked, “Mom, did you prepare any bodyguards for Maddie? 

Tanya instinctively replied, “She’s so capable. Does she really need bodyguards?” 

Queenie clucked her tongue in disapproval, while Harvey’s expression darkened. 

Tanya quickly added, “Besides, even if I had arranged for a few, Maddie wouldn’t have accepted them.” 

Harvey’s expression grew even more displeased. 

Nate approached and said, “Mr. Locke, you don’t need to worry. I’ve arranged everything for the journey. I’ll take care of Ms. Locke as 

well.” 

Harvey shook his hand and replied, “Thank you for that.” 

Madison stood behind Harvey, observing as he talked to Nate. Then, she turned to Queenie, and finally, she focused on Tanya and 

Rebecca. 

“Madison, you should ride with me today!” Queenie immediately suggested. “My car is really comfortable.” 

Nate chimed in, “Ms. Madison, my SUV has plenty of space and is quite roomy.‘ 

Just as Tanya was about to say something, Rebecca covered her mouth and giggled. “Mr. Yule, don’t tell me you’ve fallen for Maddie at first sight? You’re being way too attentive.” 

Nate wiped the smile off his face and replied flatly, “Fell for her at first sight? I’m currently dealing with some tricky situations. I 

don’t have time for romance. I’m not some hopeless romantic.” 

Queenie chimed in, “Who has time for love at a time like this? Don’t you care about your career or your life?” 

Rebecca was left speechless. 

Tanya quickly added, “Becky was just joking. She didn’t mean anything by it.” 

Harvey interjected, “You should be aware of the situation before you speak. If you can’t say the right thing, it’s better not to say anything at all.” 

He ignored the sobbing Rebecca and gave Madison a few last instructions before handing her over to Queenie. 

Nate remained silent.
