The Fortune-Telling Heiress novel Chapter 159

Chapter 159

That night, Jordan and Jade lingered at her bedroom door, reluctant to part. They clung to each other for a while before finally saying goodbye. Jordan, grinning from ear to ear, practically skipped down the hallway to his own room

Just as he turned the corner, he stopped dead in his tracks. Ms. Madison!”

He smiled smugly, raising an eyebrow at her. Ms. Madison, what do you think? Isn’t my fiancée gorgeous? She’s not just beautiful, she’s smart, kind, and caring too. I mean, how is she so perfect?”

Madison stood there quietly, listening to Jordan rave about Jade. When he finally stopped, she simply said, Come to my room tonight

IT

WaitWhat?Jordan suddenly straightened, tugging at his shirt collar as he eyed Madison with suspicion. Ms. Madison, I love my fiancée. Even if it’s you, I can’t agree to this.”

Without another word, Madison grabbed his collar and dragged him to her room, tossing him inside

Jordan stumbled backward, wideeyed and nervous. Ms. Madison, I’m warning you, I’ll scream if I have to. I won’t give in!”

Madison took slow, deliberate steps toward him, and Jordan instinctively backed away. He fell to the floor and quickly looked around. Mom? Dad? What are you doing here? Ms. Madison, isn’t this going a bit too far?”

Josephine smacked the back of his head. What nonsense are you talking about?”

Too much of his life energy has been drained. He’s in a daze. It’s normal for him to speak without thinking,Madison explained as she placed a talisman on the door of the balcony

She turned to Josephine and Vincent. You two should stay on the balcony tonight. Whatever comes won’t be able to sense your presence there.”

Josephine looked worried. Maddie, are you sure you can handle this alone? Is it dangerous?”

I can handle it,Madison assured her

With a relieved nod, Josephine dragged her dazed son over to the balcony, with Vincent following behind. Jordan, still confused, asked, Mom, what are we doing?”

Josephine shot him a glare. Why do you think?”

Jordan blinked rapidly before his eyes widened in realization. Is there something evil here? I should bring Jade here to protect her. She gets scared easily!”

He then added, Ms. Madison should’ve told me! I could’ve helped keep Jade safe!”

Josephine sighed, seeing how her son was still worried about Jade. Just be quiet and watch.”

But Jade-”

She said, Don’t worry. Nothing will harm your Jade.”

Jordan let out a breath of relief. Ms. Madison already took care of everything, right? That’s good!”

As they spoke, a thick cloud began to drift in, slowly covering the bright moon

The room dimmed, with the only light coming from the faint glow of a bedside lamp. Suddenly, a strange, scratching sound filled the

darkness

The bedroom door, which had been tightly shut, creaked open. A figure, slender and graceful, glided inside. Her movements were so light it was as if she were floating through the night
