Chapter 197
Madison raised her gaze and looked inside. Her eyes flickered as she pursed her lips
The palace gates opened on their own.
Madison pushed them with force. Although the doors weren’t befty, they weren’t light either. No breeze could move them so easily.
As she went Indeeper, she could bear a cacophony of voices, though they were too indistinct to make out clearly. The sounds seemed to be isolated in another space
entirely.
Madison’s gare swept over the swirling, withered yellow leaves in the courtyard. There was no wind, yet the leaves still fell and scattered.
She slowly entered the courtyard, and the gates behind her clicked shut automatically.
Madison was brietly stunned.
She walked toward the source of the voices. Before she could reach it, a young woman rushed out.
She was speaking urgently on the phone, “I don’t know why something suddenly went wrong! The shooting schedule was halted, and there was an accident!”
She caught sight of Madison, and her eyes lit up upon seeing her appearance. However, her brows quickly knitted together. “Sorry, but we’re filming here. Tourists and fans are prohibited. If you’ve accidentally come to the wrong place, I can take you out now.”
But Madison remained still.
The woman looked at her in confusion.
“I’m here to resolve your crew’s issues
The woman quickly shook her head. “Issues? What issues? Our crew doesn’t have any problems!”
Madison pointed at the swirling leaves in the courtyard. “No problems, huh?”
The woman looked over, and her expression changed instantly. She screamed before quickly covering her mouth.
Madison maintained a calm demeanor as she looked at the woman “So, is there still no problem now?”
The woman was dumbfounded.
She stared at Madison with tear in her eyes. But under Madison’s steady gaze, she gradually calmed down and led Madison inside. The filming location was filled with various equipment.
e canceled.
Actors, directors, and crew members were huddled together, some furious, others looling scared, and some shouting that the movie should be “Lucy, why are you back? Didn’t I ask you to find the person in charge? Ask them why problems are always happening here. It’s either electrical leaks or structural collapses.”
Lucy Lays froze for a moment, she was
hesitant to introduce Madison
The assistant director angrily questioned her, and Lary braced herself to explain Madison’s situation
The assistant director took a deep breath to suppress his anger. “Do you know what time it is now? Can you please not cause more trouble?”
Lucy said plaintively, “but maybe there really is something supernatural going on here.”
The assistant director was furious and pulled Lory aside. “We’re just filming a thriller, so please don’t blur the lines between reality and the movie, okay? Why can’t you even handle a small issue? We’re all overwhelined by work right now.”
The assistant director approached Madison with a smile. “I apologize. Our crew is busy today. Are you a lost tourist who wandered into the set, or perhaps a fan of one of our crew members? If you need autographs, we can help with that. But today is a bit chaotic, and it’s not very convenient.”
Madison shook her head. “I’m neither a tourist or a fan. I’m here to resolve an issue.”
