“Look, Helena’s name is here,” Cynthia pointed to the end of the inscriptions. 

They couldn’t recognize most of the writing, but Helena’s name stood out clearly. The dark red, almost black writing exuded a stifling, oppressive energy “Ms. Locke, what is this?” Shane asked. 

“A soul–cleansing spell” Madison frowned as she examined the inscriptions. “It’s designed to remove all grievances from the soul and redirect a ghost’s resentiment to other events.” 

Her gaze darkened as she traced her slender fingers across the inscriptions. This was a spell crafted by a highly skilled cultivator. 

“So, Helena wasn’t hiding in the machine by choice. Someone trapped her in bere, tight?” Shane scoffed as he stared at the machine with a grim expression. “Helena only mentioned being hurt by Rayson, but she never said anything about the director or the show they were filming, Why is that?” 

Marco circled the machine. “Shane, do you think this whole thing is connected to him? 

Shane scoffed. “What do you think?” 

Marco laughed coldly. “I knew something was off when he suddenly acted generous. After all that tension between you two, he just conveniently sold you machine at a low price.”

Madison shook her head. “The machine is damaged, but the inscriptions remain intact, so the spell still holds ” 

The room grew heavy with silence. Cynthia’s face contorted in pain, and she said, “They killed her, and even in death, they won’t let her rest. They’re using her as a tool for their own gain. The cruelty of people is sickening!” 

Shane approached Cynthia, gently patting her shoulder. “Ms Locke, is there another presence besides Helena?” 

“Where?” 

Madison shook her head. “The other presence is very faint and completely hidden beneath Helena’s, I can’t sense it.” 

It was also due to her significantly reduced spiritual power that she couldn’t detect the other spirit. 

“Though its presence is weak, it’s more dangerous than Helena.”

“We can’t destroy it,” Shane Interrupted. “Helena’s rage is being held back by this spell. If we break it, what if she goes after Rayson for revenge?” 

Cynthia scoffed. “So, we just let that scum, Rayson, get away with it? Who knows how many others he has hurt?”
