Chapter 224
Sam looked at the photo and pointed to the short–haired woman. “You mean her?”
“Yes,” Madison replied.
“She’s Heather’s sister, Laura Wilkins. How could I have cheated on Heather with her?”
Madison simply replied, “But you have.”
Sam’s face was wiped clean of both his previous respect and anger. He looked coldly at Madison. “Liar! I don’t get why so many people trust you.”
The livestream viewers expressed their opinions on him.
“What’s with this guy? He’s become angry because the streamer exposed him!”
“Hahaha! He’s the one who cheated, but he’s still trying to act like a loving husband in public. Scumbags like him seem to have better acting skills than Casanovas these days!”
“Scumbag!”
“Is he stupid?”
“Hah! Men!”
Upon reading the ridicule in the comments, the anger Sam had suppressed rose up again. “I didn’t cheat! How could I cheat with someone I only see as a sister?” He slammed his fist on his desk and declared loudly, “I’m going to report you. Not only are you lying to people, but you’re also encouraging online bullying.” He glared viciously at Madison.
Madison merely took a leisurely gulp of water. “Your horoscope indicates that your fortune with marriage was originally shaky, but thankfully, your compatibility with Heather’s horoscope negated it.
“That’s why there have never been any major incidents despite many people taking interest in you over the years.”
Sam, who was just about to disconnect the call, paused.
He didn’t speak and simply frowned at Madison.
“But this time, your compatibility didn’t negate the negative influence. That’s why your marriage isn’t going well and has come down to a divorce.”
Sam thought back to the women who had expressed interest in him over the years. Although he had never led those women on, some of them would even openly provoke Heather. It had always been Heather who took care of such matters in the end.
He lowered his head to gaze at the photo of Heather and Laura. He frowned before suddenly raising his head. “I really am not cheating on Heather. I only see Laura as my own sister. If not for the fact that she’s Heather’s sister, I wouldn’t even give her the time of day.
“I’ll make it clear to Heather, and I’ll bring Laura along to speak with her.”
Just as he spoke, the door was pushed open, and a short–haired woman walked in.
“Sam, are you still feeling unwell? If you’re still unwell, I’ll send you to the hospital!” said the woman, Laura.
Sam looked at Laura. She was ten years younger than Heather and had gone through a divorce two years ago.
Heather allowed Laura to move into their house back then because she was worried that Laura would be heartbroken.
Sam had been there to witness Laura grow up, graduate, and even get married. He had only ever regarded her as a younger sister.
Now, however, he noticed the exquisite makeup on her face. Although she was wearing business attire, her skirt stopped above her knees, and there was a faint scent of perfume coming from her.
