Chapter 258
Yara waited for a while but didn’t hear the praise she was hoping for.
“I can’t do this,” Madison said firmly.
Yara looked at her, puzzled. “What?”
*I’m just a coltivator, not some deity who can control others‘ fates. Even gods shouldn’t interfere with someone’s destiny.” Madison pushed the glass vial back into Yara’s hands. “No one has the right to manipulate another person’s feelings.”
Yarlett anexasperated sigh. “It’s not like you even care about Sebastian. ”
Madison shook her head. “I don’t have feelings for him, but that doesn’t give me the nothing to do with me or anyone else.
e right to mess with his feelings for anyone. His feelings are his own. They have
“If he willingly chooses to let go of these feelings one day, then we can act,” Madison said calmly. “But until he makes that choice, I won’t interfere.”
Yara rolled her eyes. “Madison, you…
Madison’s gaze fell on the glass vial. “And another thing… There’s something wrong with this sentiment–sealing glass vial. There’s an extra rune on it that I don’t recognize, and the bells on the stopper, they’re mystic instruments”
Yara shook the vial, making the bells jingle with a clear, crisp sound. “It’s just a sentiment–sealing glass vial, What could be wrong with it?” She raised an eyebrow, smicking “Or are you secretly hoping that Sebastian won’t forget about you?”
Madison shook her head and sighed. “Thave no feelings for him.”
Vara rolled her eyes but couldn’t help feeling a little sorry for Sebastian’s unrequited love. She tossed the vial in her hand and said, “Don’t worry, I won’t use it on him or anyone else without your permission, okay?”
sonodded, cautioning. “It’s not just for Sebastian. Don’t use it on anyone. The rune on this bottle is definitely suspicious.”
“Fine, fine,” Yara replied, sounding annoyed. “Where’s my room?
Madison pointed, and Yara floated away without another word.
The next morning, the loud ringing of the doorbell echoed through the suite.
Wanda, who was malding breakdast, walked over and opened the door. She froze for a moment when she saw Tanya and Rebecca standing there.
“Um, may ask “Wanda asked besitantly.
“Don’t you know who we are?” Tanya said, loolding down at Wanda. “Well, aren’t you going to let us in?”
After a hesitant pause, Wanda stepped aside.
Tanya and Rebecca strode in, taking in the spacious, luxurious suite. It was no surprise to find a suite like this in the heart of Deatropolis, but it was a surprise that Madison had one. More surprising was the fact that Sebastian had bought it for her.
“Maddie’s here, right?” Rebecca asked with a smile. “Our mom and I came with some good news to share with her. I’m sure Maddie will be thrilled when she hears IL”
She glanced around. “She’s still in bed? We came over first thing in the morning, and she’s not up yet?”
“Go get my mom some water,” Rebecca added, looldne pointedly at Wanda “Mom, you must be so tired from the trip.”
