“Ugh! His sister is hurt, and he’s out here hugging another woman. How shameless!” Yara floated in from outside and made her way to Madison’s bedside. 

“Hey, how are you? Is it serious?” 

Madison stared at her, her eyes heavy with emotion. 

Yara felt uneasy under her gaze and quickly turned her head away. 

“Fortunately, it’s not a severe injury. Let me tell you something! You won’t believe it, but ever since the party started, Mia and I just kind popped out of the Locke residence. If it weren’t for the livestream, we wouldn’t have known about such a huge incident happening inside! 

“Thank goodness we watched the livestream. Otherwise…” 

She shook her head. 

Madison asked, “Did you use the sentiment–sealing glass vial?” 

Yara avoided her gaze. 

“What about Sebastian?” 

Yara let out a couple of dry laughs. 

“Yara, I told you that the sealing glass vial has problems. The runes on it aren’t just simple seals,” Madison said coldly. 

Yara had no choice but to look at her. “I couldn’t help it! This is your life–or–death tribulation, and we couldn’t go in to save you! If you didn have spiritual power, how could you go against the favored one of the heavens? 

“You might’ve really died at the party.” 

She then added, “Don’t worry, I asked Sebastian. And he agreed willingly–super willingly! I hadn’t even finished speaking when he immediately agreed.” 

Madison closed her eyes slightly. “Tell me what exactly happened.” 

“Maddie is so pretty! Much prettier than Rebecca.” 

Yara scoffed. “Of course!” 

Just as they were about to move closer to take a look, a sudden, powerful force pushed them out of the Locke residence. 

They found themselves standing outside the villa’s entrance. 

People passed through their transparent forms. 

“Yara, what’s going on?” Mia looked puzzled. 

Yara held Mia’s hand, frowning. “I’m not sure. Let’s try again!” 

They floated back toward the villa, but as they got closer, they were pushed away once more. 

Yara rubbed her chin. “Someone is using a mystical artifact to keep us away.” 

It seemed they were indeed targeting Madison. 

Mia sighed. “What should we do? I still want to see what’s happening at the party!” 

The two ghosts exchanged helpless glances. 

They started to circle the villa, looking for a way to get in. After several rounds without finding any weak points, they were pushed away again. Yara waved her hand in defeat. “Forget it. It seems we really can’t get in.” 

“What should we do? Does that mean we can’t see Madison’s birthday party?” 

A surprised voice chimed in, “There’s a broadcast. The footage is coming through…” 

Yara saw a few young women squatting not far from the Locke residence, each holding a phone and eagerly watching the footage. 

The two ghosts floated over. 

“Wow! It’s the livestream of Madison’s birthday party!” 

Yara looked at the group of young women and then at the tools beside them. “I have a feeling these people aren’t here for good!” They surrounded the women, watching the livestream.
