Chapter 347
After spending some time with Serena and witnessing the heartfelt care from Serena’s parents, Madison finally left the hospital. She let Harvey drive her back to Haven House. Just as Madison was about to step out of the car upon arriving, Harvey stopped her.
He looked at her with gratitude and said, “Thank you, Maddie.”
“I’m partly responsible for this,” Maddie shook her head as she replied.
She knew there would be consequences when Harvey and Rebecca clashed.

She had thought only of staying close to Harvey to protect him, but she hadn’t anticipated the repercussions falling on Serena and the child she carried. If she hadn’t been so focused on minimizing Rebecca’s anger to avoid greater backlash, she might have acted differently.
Still, Harvey confronted Rebecca before leaving to give her a final piece of his mind.
In the hospital, Madison asked Serena what had led her to go out that day.
She learned that Serena hadn’t planned to go out at all, but an advertisement for a parenting show featuring Rebecca caught her eye.
The child on the show was wearing clothes that Serena found adorable, which made her want to shop for her unborn baby. That was why she left the house. Watching Madison walk into Haven House, Harvey pulled out a cigarette and lit it before taking a slow, measured drag. His gaze grew dark as he stared ahead, his fingers tapping lightly on the steering wheel.
He had been standing next to Madison when Serena mentioned Rebecca, and he had noticed the subtle change in Madison’s expression. He also recalled that subtle change in Madison’s expression whenever Rebecca’s name came up, hinting at a connection he couldn’t shake.
Rebecca’s name echoed in his mind. How much of this was connected to her?
Back in Haven House, Madison returned to her room to continue her meditation.
Wanda quietly closed the door behind her, then turned to Yara with a whisper. “Ms. Locke looked a bit troubled when she came back.”
Yara shrugged, rubbing her chin thoughtfully. “She went to the Locke residence. It’d be surprising if anyone came back from there with a cheerful expression. Don’t worry about it.”
Three days later, a major scandal broke out online.
The Quill family from Eastwood was publicly exposed. Despite being released the day before, they were re–arrested the very next day.
Authorities from Deatropolis were dispatched to investigate the Quill family, and citizens from Eastwood flooded the internet with reports and complaints. Billy’s parents quickly made a declaration, insisting that Billy was just spouting nonsense and that their family wasn’t nearly as powerful as he claimed. However, the netizens weren’t letting the Quill family off that easily.
Watching the news on television, Yara chuckled and raised an eyebrow. “Madison, you’re famous now! You wouldn’t believe how many people online are waiting for you to go live.”
Wanda glanced at her phone and chimed in, “Ms. Locke, your followers have nearly hit ten million! People are begging you to read their fortunes, and some are even trying to track down which monastery you’re from so that they can visit you in person.”
“You’re a sensation now! They’re calling you the ‘Celestial Oracle‘ online.”
