Chapter 357

“Who is it at this hour?” the voice asked.
Then, the door swung open.
Wanda, her hair disheveled, blinked rapidly as she rubbed her eyes hard. With a loud bang, the door slammed shut again. But the next second, it opened once more.
Wanda’s jaw dropped. “Ms. Locke, you’re back!”
“Yes, I’m back,” Madison replied.
Wanda froze for a moment, considering fixing her hair and clothes. However, when she caught sight of the man behind Madison, she was stunned.
“Ms. Locke, this is…” She was shocked by Raymond’s appearance even though she had seen so many handsome men like Sebastian.
“Wow! Madison’s back! “Mia’s cheerful shout paused the lively atmosphere inside Haven House.
Some spirits, half–demons, as well as those appearing entirely human, turned to look at the entrance.
A snake the size of a man’s thigh that was coiled around a lamp heard Mia’s voice and plummeted from above, landing on the coffee table with a crash. The coffee table shattered.
Madison was utterly speechless. She calmly surveyed the scene, and in an instant, the ten or so spirits in the room lowered their heads in fear.
Only Mia, oblivious to the situation, happily clung to Madison’s leg. “Madison, why are you back so soon?”
Madison patted her head affectionately.
Yara stepped out from behind the crowd, clearly astonished. “Madison, are you a magnet for handsome men? Every man you know is better looking than the last!” Madison turned her gaze to the spirits in the room and said to Yara, “It’s already late. Let’s not disturb the neighbors.”
Yara let out a dry laugh, then turned to communicate with the spirits, urging them to leave. The spirits all transformed into human form, politely exiting through the front door. Before leaving, they greeted Madison, who nodded slightly in response.
Once they were far enough away, the spirits buzzed with excitement.
“Ms. Locke is even more beautiful up close!” one spirit exclaimed, awe evident in their voice.
“I’ve said it before. Ms. Locke is definitely not an ordinary person. She’s got the air of a celestial being,” another spirit chimed in, nodding enthusiastically.
“Ms. Locke won’t be angry, right? I was a half–demon just now. Was I ugly? Ah! I can’t believe I embarrassed myself in front of Ms. Locke on my first meeting! I can’t go on living!” a third spirit lamented, their voice trembling with distress.
“Ms. Locke seems really approachable!” a fourth spirit added, a bright smile spreading across their face.
Their chatter gradually faded as Madison led Raymond inside. “This is Raymond Nimbus. He’ll be living here from now on. Wanda, please arrange a room for him to stay.”
After giving Wanda instructions, Madison turned to Yara.
Yara straightened up quickly, offering a flattering smile. “We were just feeling bored at home, and since we didn’t want to trouble you by going out, we thought we’d invite some friends over to play.”
