Miriam turned to her husband. “Edward, Tessa is pregnant she’s out there with some other man!” 

Edward Thome’s expression changed instantly, and he furrowed his brows as he looked at the phone in her hand. “What are you doing? 

“I’m on a livestream, I want the whole country to see her face! Everyone needs to know she’s been with another man!” 

Edward pushed her hand aside and walked over to Tessa, who was still bent over and retching. “Are you okay? Do you need to go to the hospital?”

Miriam looked at Madison expectantly, eager to hear that it was a boy. 

Madison remained silent for a moment. Then, she said, “I’m not going to do that for you.” 

Miriam was taken aback by Madison’s refusal to make a divination. Her brows furrowed, and then a lightbulb went off in her head. “I get it! You’re not saying anything because she’s having a gin!”
