“How can you say that, Harvey?” Tanya wasn’t happy about Harvey’s attitude. “At the end of the day, Madison was in the wrong for taking Becky’s dress.” 

Harvey took a deep breath. “Is that how you see it too, Dad 

He believed William should be able to understand why he was upset. 

William furrowed his brows. “Having Maddie on the second floor wasn’t the best idea, bill 

“What matters isn’t the act of stealing, but why it happened” 

Seeing William’s and Tanya’s indifferent expressions, Harvey felt even worse.

“Maddie will stay on the third floor now, I’ll make sure she gets a brand new set of furniture. Also..” Harvey paused to emphasize his point. “No matter what Maddie wants to do with the third floor in the future, you all stay out of it.” 

Tanya protested, “How’s that okay? She can’t just change the layout however she likes.” 

“Rebecca turned the entire second floor into her dressing room, and you didn’t even blink. Now she wants to turn the third floor into a training room and music room, and you’re not saying a word, either 

*If you still want Maddie to be your daughter, you need to stop playing favorites, Mom.” 

Tanya simply didn’t know how to respond. 

After saying his piece, Harry just turned and left. 

Tanya could tell Harvey was upset, and her eyes became misty. “Do you think I’m in the wrong as well, William? 

Williams held his nose. The day had barely started, and the commotion put everyone in a bad mood. 

“What were you thinking when you made Maddie stay in the storage room?” 

Tanya replied without thinking, “Becky mentioned that Maddie’s old place was less than 200 square feet. If she suddenly moves into something too fancy, it might be a shock for her. I just wanted her to ease into her new environment 

“Plus, the furniture is still in good shape. Becky wants to save money. After her work with environmental campaigns, she’s picked up a lot about sustainability. Since the furniture is in good condition, Maddie can use it. I think Becky makes a good point” 

Rebecca was considerate of Madison, and she was being environmentally conscious. 

Upon hearing Tanya’s explanation, William didn’t comment anything 

After pausing for a moment, he sighed. “We’ll go with what Harvey suggested. Maddie will stay on the third floor, and she can remodel it however she likes. Just leave her to it” “Alright.” 

Rebecca came back in the evening with Queenie, the young lady from the prominent Anderson family. They walked in together, giggling and chatting 

Eventually, they spotted some big trucks parked in front of the villa, with people moving forniture Inside. 

Queente looked closely at the famiture. “These look like furniture for women. We have a dressing table, a fancy bed, and..” 

She nudged Rebecca with her elbow, “Are your parents upgrading your furniture again?” 

Rebecca was secretly pleased but said, “I keep telling my parents not to waste money. Who bought the furniture, Mr. Lexis?” 

David Lewis was supervising the workers as they handled the furniture carefully. He turned and spotted Rebecca. “Mr. Harvey bought it, Ms. Rebecca.” 

Rebecca frowned and stomped her foot. “I’ve sold Harvey not to splurge. My old furniture set has only been used for a little over a year, and it’s still fine. I have to teach hima lesson.”
