The Fortune-Telling Heiress novel Chapter 410

The live stream viewers typed away excitedly.

"Whoa! What beautiful scenery! It's so pretty!"

"MediumRareOnly, you aren't someone in the homestay business deliberately here to promote your accommodation, are you?"

"That's a begonia tree, isn't it? It's almost autumn, so how is it still blooming? It's fake, isn't it? It has to be a fake tree!"

"It's a fake for sure! He's mooching off Ms. Locke's stream popularity to promote his homestay business."

MediumRareOnly quickly shook his head, explaining, "It really is my house and not a homestay! That's why I'm wondering if it's haunted. That begonia tree just bloomed overnight—and not just the tree, but all the other flowers in the courtyard too."

He adjusted the camera, letting Madison and the viewers get a look at the surrounding scenery.

"Not a single household still has blooming flowers other than mine," he stated.

The viewers were still doubtful of his claims, certain that he was doing this for the sake of publicity.

"You don't believe me, right? Then I'll get a close-up view for you guys," he said, feeling a little angry at their unwillingness to believe him.

He sneaked toward the courtyard with his phone in hand. When he arrived at the entrance, he raised his phone from outside the courtyard, giving everyone a view of the begonia tree.

"See?" he asked. "They're real flowers!"

"What are you doing, Josh?"

MediumRareOnly—whose real name was Joshua Walsh—jumped in fright at the sound of the voice.

"Nothing, Grandma," he assured quickly. "I'm just watching a live stream."

"Oh," replied his grandmother, Caroline.

After responding to Caroline, Joshua moved away from the house again.

"I'm really telling the truth, Ms. Locke. The begonia tree isn't fake, and…" He lowered his voice to a whisper, continuing, "...those flowers have been blooming for a whole month without withering away!"

As he spoke, he shivered. "That's why I think this place is haunted!"

He couldn't think of any possibility other than that it was haunted.
