“Ms. Davina, here’s the latest report on the Palmers–the places they’ve visited and the people they’ve been in contact with.” Percy said, handing Davina the documents as she flipped through the script for Mythos.
While her role wasn’t major, it still paid, and Davina had always taken any paying job seriously.
She set the script aside and briefly scanned the information Percy had given her, her eyes moving over the details of the Palmers recent interactions.
A small smirk appeared on her lips.
“Add a few more of the places Stella tends to go. And make sure you include Blair and his brothers. Siblings should always face things together.”
Percy nodded, seemingly intrigued by the idea. “Understood.”
“Apply more pressure on Hector’s creditors,” Davina said, picking up her script again. “Make them feel the heat
“Got it.” Percy replied. “By the way, the school is asking when you’ll be enrolling
Without looking up, Davina responded, “No rush. We’ll talk about it later.”
“Alright.”
Afterward, Davina took time to visit Maisie again at the hospital, administering the necessary needle therapy as part of her ongoing treatment.
Although Maisie remained unconscious, her complexion had improved slightly, and she appeared healthier than before.
“I’ll be back,” Davina whispered softly, gazing down at Maisie before turning to leave the room.
As she exited the hospital, she unexpectedly crossed paths with Nydia, who was dragging her son along with her.
“You little troublemaker, getting into fights again? Look at you, all beaten up! Don’t you care how much this worries me?” Nydia scolded.
The boy, with bleached blond hair, scoffed and rolled his eyes. “Shut up, old hag. Stop nagging me! Just zip it!”
But Nydia didn’t lose her temper. “This is because I care about you.”
The middle–aged man walking behind them spoke up. “Your son’s right; you’re too much of a nag. What’s wrong with a little fighting? It’s how boys are!”
Just then, Nydia’s sharp eyes landed on Davina. She immediately rushed toward her.
“Stop right there!”
Before Davina could take another step, Nydia’s unsteady figure blocked her path.
Nydia sized Davina up from head to toe. “What’s this? What have you been doing lately? You’re all dressed up. Lucky for you, your brother needs medical treatment–how about you pay for his bills?”
Davina’s lips twisted into a cold smile. “It’s not my problem.”
Without another word, she turned to walk away.
Nydia’s expression darkened. “Stop right there!”
Davina paused and turned to face them. Davina
“Medical bills, huh? Why don’t you ask your real daughter to pay? After all, she’s your actual child. I’m sure she wouldn’t want to see her little brother suffer. With how much they dote on her at the Summers, all she has to do is say a few good words, and they’ll probably hire you as a nanny there, and you can earn more than your current job. That’s not all–Stella knows

plenty of rich, beautiful women. Maybe she’ll even help your son find a wealthy wife.”
Nydia’s thoughts seemed to wander, but she quickly snapped back to the matter at hand. “Of course…
She then remembered what she had to do. “You need to pay the bills now, for my son! Hurry up!”
Davina frowned, “What a family–trash really does stick together.”
