Chapter 73 Don’t Forget
It only hit her now–after Stella had given Davina all the clothes she no longer wore, she had immediately gone out and bought new ones.
But Davina and Stella had very different body types. Davina had been malnourished as a child, leaving her frame painfully thin, with sharp, protruding bones. Her presence wasn’t exactly striking either.
So, when she wore Stella’s high–end clothes, it almost felt as if she were wearing knockoffs.
At that time, Kate had even looked down on her biological daughter for being so awkward.
But seeing Davina at Barlow Group’s dinner, draped in haute couture and radiating an air of sophistication, and hearing her call another woman “Mom…
It left Kate feeling both crushed and furious inside.
Now, looking
it Stella–who only seemed to know how to buy luxury items–her mood soured even more.
“Everything has its limits,” she said sharply. “You’re not a little girl anymore. No matter how much money we have, just throw it away.”

Stella pouted. “I know, Mom.”
“How’s your relationship with Ryan going?” Kate asked, changing the subject.
Stella absentmindedly looked at the new jewelry she had bought, twirling a bracelet around her wrist. “It’s fine. About the same as always.”
Kate nodded. “You two should focus on building a stronger relationship. Your 20th birthday is coming up soon, right? Perfect timing–then we can finalize your engagement.”
Although both families had verbally agreed to the marriage, they still hadn’t set an official date for the engagement
ceremony.
Recently, the Holts had grown more distant, and Kate knew they needed to act quickly to lock down the union.
Stella frowned. “Mom… do I really have to marry him?”
After seeing Jude and Kennedy at Barlow Group dinner, she suddenly felt like Ryan wasn’t all that impressive.
She felt like she could definitely do better.
Marrying Ryan will just hold me back.
Plus. Kennedy and Jude are much more handsome than Ryan.
Lately, she had heard a lot of people talking about Kennedy and his influence in the Vlonio circle. Compared to him, Ryan didn’t even compare.
Her i interest in Ryan had definitely started to fade.
“What else would you do? Both families have already agreed. Besides, you’ve always gotten along, haven’t you? You insisted on dating Ryan, remember! Your brothers were upset about it for quite a while before they accepted him”
Stella quirkly shifted the conversation “Oh. Mom I’m still young. I want to be a star. Getting engaged this early could hurt my career
Kate thought for a moment, realizing that Stella might have a point.
Stella noticed the change in her mother’s expression and purposely added. ‘Mom, there’s something I didnt want to tell you
Davina hai really gone too far
And so, Stella told Kate about how Davina had been trashing her and the Summers online.

went
Kate slammed her hand on the table in fury. “She’s really gone too far!”
Stella
a sighed, her voice quieter now. “Mom… I think she really hates us now. It’s all my fault. She must be targeting the Summers because of me.
“And now…. I don’t know how, but she’s become Barlow Croup’s heiress. The Barlows are so rich. No wonder she won’t come back. She’s even turned her back on her real family
Arthat moment, Blair came down the stairs and overheard Stella’s words.
He frowned and spoke coolly, “Don’t forget you’re not Mom and Dad’s biological daughter either.”
