Chapter 88 Not Just Anyone
While they were chatting, the manager of the shooting range walked over.
The moment he saw Davina, he hit up with excitement. “You must be Ms. Summer from the Barlows, right?”
Davina was a bit surprised by the formality of the title but nodded. “Yes, that’s me.”

The manager immediately grabbed her hand and shook it enthusiastically. “Ms. Summer, would you consider coming here often? I’d like to offer you a free VIP membership! You’re welcome anytime. No reservation needed!”
His eyes gleamed with the unmistakable hunger of a businessman smelling gold.
Hailey quickly stepped in, swatting the manager’s hand. “Let go! What’s with the death grip? It’s just a handshake!”
Only then did the manager realize he was going overboard and awkwardly let go. “Sorry, I got a little carried away.
“From now on, Ms. Summer, you are always welcome at our club. Whenever you want to come by and shoot, our doors are wide open!”
A beautiful woman with top–tier shooting skills? That was a marketing goldmine.
And she wasn’t just anyone–she was the heiress of the Barlows.
The other two elites present, he wouldn’t even dare try to cozy up to.
But this girl? She had the kind of presence that could bring in crowds.
Jasper looked over at Davina. “You should take the offer. It’s free, after all
Hailey grinned. That means we can all come here and shoot together whenever we want!”
Seeing both of them agree, Davina nodded as well. Why say no to a freebie?
The manager was practically vibrating with joy.
A shooting range could handle a flood of newbies, but what it really needed was high–level shooters to boost its reputation.
Just Davina showing up occasionally could put their club on the national–maybe even international–map.
He’d been running this place for years and had never seen a female shooter with skills like hers.
The only people who could rival her here were Kennedy and maybe one other.
“Wonderful, wonderful–thank you, Ms. Summer. From now on, consider yourself an honored guest of our club. The manager beamed so hard his whole face crinkled into laugh lines.
Then he turned, immediately buttering up Kennedy
with a respectful “Mr. Sawyer” before nodding toward Fabian. “Mr. Gray.”
Both gave him polite nods, signaling they didn’t mind his interruption.
Taking the hint, the manager gave Jasper and Hailey a few flattering remarks before finally making himself scarce.
Davina’s gaze drifted back.
Anyone who could run a business like this had to be sharp–and the connections needed to run a private shooting clubi weren’t exactly small–time.
And yet he’d still been respectful and accommodating to every guest
That was how you built a good business.
Kennedy glanced at her and spoke leisurely.

“Do you know who the only other person in this club is who can shoot a fully automatic pistol with the same precision as you!”
Davina raised an eyebrow. “You?”
Kennedy did look like he knew his way around a firearm.
For second–generation elites like him, guns weren’t just for fun–they were often trained as a basic means of self–protection.
She was the same way growing up.
Especially in families with military or political backgrounds, being proficient with firearms was more than encouraged—it
was a rule..
