"Well, after I discuss with your mother, I'll send you back."
Meredith smiled and touched Fiona's head. She would send her back, but she should do something to show that the girl couldn't be bullied. Otherwise, it would be difficult for her to live with her stepfather. She was only five years old.
"Yes, I see."
Fiona was sensible. She knew that Meredith was good to her. She nodded obediently.
Easton sighed when he saw this.
Meredith couldn't help shaking her head after she saw it. After a while, Lydia came to see Fiona again. Meredith and Easton went out, leaving them alone.
When Easton walked out, he didn't speak. He lowered his head and kicked the ground from time to time.
Seeing this, Meredith felt helpless.
"Easton, what's wrong? You lose your temper again. You walk like this. Aren't you afraid of falling?"
"Mom, you agreed to let Fiona move away. What if she is bullied?"
"Fiona misses her mother so much. She was so happy when she saw her mother. We can't force her to do what she doesn't want to do."
Meredith knew it was because of this. She reached out and pinched Easton's chubby cheeks, "Besides, we'll still keep contact with her. If she is bullied, we won't stand by."
"Well, okay..."
When he heard it, Easton could only accept it temporarily.
He checked the time. It was time for dinner. Easton thought about it and said, "Mom, let's visit dad. I don't know if anyone sends him dinner."
He should be taken care of, but Meredith nodded when she heard Easton. She would discuss something with him.
Seeing that Meredith didn't refuse, Easton was a little happy. It seemed that they made up. He felt better now.
Meredith and Easton asked someone to send them to the hospital where Derek was.
They bought food and went upstairs.
Easton was worried that Derek was doing something and was found by his mother. He deliberately spoke in a loud voice, "Mom, I don't know what dad is doing."
His voice was so loud. Meredith heard him and became serious, "Easton, we are in the hospital. Don't talk so loudly. What if you disturb others?"
"Hehe, only my dad is on the floor. I didn't do it on purpose. I won't do it again." Easton was worried about his father. He admitted his mistake immediately.
And Meredith didn't say much.
Derek was looking through the documents. When he heard Easton's voice, he immediately put away the documents.
If Meredith saw it, she would be angry.
Meredith entered with Easton. When she saw that Derek was watching TV in the bed, she shrugged...
It was rare to see him watch TV. It seemed that she didn't find what entertainment he liked.
"Easton and I are here to see you."
Meredith walked over. She put the food on the table and put away the documents.
When Easton saw it, he was still a little nervous. After all, she stayed here because his father was hurt. If she knew the truth...
He didn't know what would happen... He sighed.
Easton felt bad. It was right that a lie should be covered up with a hundred lies.
